It's hockey and I've yet to see anybody who has always kept their cool and always act in a calm, cool manner. Even the best have lost their cool at someone at one time or another....Gretzky, Richard, Lemieux, etc but yet have they ever been labeled as "not acting like adults"? It's a fast paced sport where tempers flare and emotions run high and because someone loses their cool doesn't mean they are not acting like an adult or be expected to handle everything in a "reasonable way" 100% of the time. even adult posters lose their cool once in awhile and act like immature little brats some even say the hell with you and delete their accounts but they serve their little self imposed suspensions and return just like junior hockey it's a cycle

How can you be "harsh" and "polite" at the same time? Maybe Jordan will learn from this, shut the hell up next time, and act like an adult. I agree the player can not make personal remarks about the official but can criticize the job being done by the official. Sometimes being an adult means being mature and speaking up, not shutting up. When the official is screwing up point it out to him. Tell him what he missed and to do his job better. Now when tempers are flaring that's where the maturity comes in to express yourself without making it a personal attack.

What officials can't tolerate is people showing them up in front of everyone. If a coach comes up to me during a game and quietly says "Geez, you really messed up that call, that was terrible", that's OK. But if he yells, from the dugout, "Get your head into the game, Ump", then he's gone.
