to the current roster that would make it an instant contender?(I stole a bit of it from another board).
I think I know what name will come up at least 50% of the time...

There are so many that would be an upgrade, in addition to those already named - Davis, Ruggerio, Owens, even playoff Thebeau (not reg-season Thebeau). That's more a reflection on the last couple of years, which makes me wonder if the problem is in the goaltender coaching, or regimen, or maybe we were just spoiled by Franz Jean taking average goaltenders and turning them into above-average goaltenders?

Bouchard was not good when he was traded for and he's only been here 4 weeks or so. Other than that he's had Dupre and Mann Dixon to work with.Mann-Dixon has probably been better than expected considering his price. Dupre was average in his starts here and then never got playing time. Hard to put any sort of judgement on Scott Munro as a goaltending coach at this point. The Cats either need to get one of their higher pedigree goalies in the system to report next season or use a high pick on 1 this upcoming draft.

Munro deserves some of the blame for the Bouchard fiasco. You don't "fix" a goalie in a couple months. A lot of goaltending is habits that have been engrained for 5 or more years.

I was thinking the name that would keep coming up was Crawford.

Roman Will saw his first action in the NHL last night. There's a name to add to the list. That 2011-12 team was awful and he was by far the biggest reason they even finished as high as 11th.

There was actually 3 former Wildcats goalies(all drafted by the team) that played in the NHL last night. Unfortunately all of them lost by a wide margin but it's still ironic considering the situation the current team is in.

He could probably be a 20 goal scorer on a line with Garland. Would we be worse off with a goaltending tandem of Jason Awalt and Stephane Brulotte?
