The NY Times is a left wing newspaper which is basically a media extension of the Democrat party .... has been for years. The NYT is on an infinitely higher journalistic integrity level than the sites you quote from. They even broke the Hillary Email story! He cut taxes for companies that were already succeeding in an already booming economy - with no plan given for where that missing tax revenue would come from to fund...everything. Plus build a wall, and invest in massive infrastructure improvements. If I went in now and dropped the corporate tax rate to 10%, it doesn't make me a great President. It is not nearly that simple. The truly sad part of this whole tax fiasco...he gives the every day joe a minor tax cut up front to get cheap kudos...but inside of 10 years, the average joe will get a tax hike plus his medical costs will skyrocket as a result of removing the clause that protects the high risk insureds. These are the folks he said he was running for...meanwhile the "costal elites" he railed against...the ones that filled his cabinet and nobody said anything...get huge long term tax cuts...including his own family. The GOP who railed against the deficit for decades suddenly don't say a word because Trump is giving them a "win". Repulsive. |

I wasn't going to make light of this as Billy had must have been preoccupied or had gotten over his TDS ( Trump Derangement Syndrome) for a few weeks at least. Trump had his top Fake News awards - #1 was Paul Krugman, economist on the NY Times, saying the economy/stock market will never recover Trump winning .... meanwhile the stock market is up appx 45% since election night, unemployment rate has gone down, companies bringing jobs and $$ back due to deregulation and tax reform and business and consumer confidence going up. Paul should look into another Cracker Box to get a Phd. I don't think an opinion qualifies as fake news though ... he was just wrong. What it comes down is this, Paul Krugman is supposed to be a highly esteemed and respected economist and what he said was pure TDS hyperbole. Here is the article, what he said was partially responsible for the market falling on November 9th, 2016. I can see your point in that it was his opinion, but his irresponsible hyperbolic opinion caused some people to lose $$ that day... I can qualify that as fake news just like when the ABC schmuck said Flynn was going to testify against Trump for actions during the campaign... that caused people to lose $$ as the market flatlined for a bit that day. |

What it comes down is this, Paul Krugman is supposed to be a highly esteemed and respected economist and what he said was pure TDS hyperbole. I can see your point in that it was his opinion, but his irresponsible hyperbolic opinion caused some people to lose $$ that day... Trump has lied like 2,000 times since being elected...I don't think he is in any kind of position to be judging what is fake or real. when he says "fake news" he really means "bad news". |

It's been a year... and only a month since the tax cuts. Bottom line is he inherited a strong economy and he is building on that. NO DOUBT cutting expenses for businesses will help the stock values. But there is so much more to doing that then immediate reaction in a stock market. |

Trump and the republicans can enjoy all their NRA dough while offering thoughts and prayers while dozens of kids are slaughtered like a video game...let's not wonder why the US has not banned assault rifles, established proper background checks or offered law enforcement the ability to take away guns from unstable individuals...even those on terror watch lists and no fly lists get to buy semi automatic military guns! Trump also repealed a law 6 months ago where by those that are mentally ill would be prohibited from owing guns... ...and it all comes back to blood money.  |

The Democrats outlawed assault weapons in 1996 but the GOP changed it back in 2004. They tried again a few years back but the GOP philibustered it. Trump even repealed a law that prevents those with mental illess from having guns... There are sick people all over the world, but only in the US are the streets flooded with guns and so easy to get, that's why idiots end up in mass shootings. the answer is simple in the concept that things will change once politicians get black balled for taking NRA blood money...unfortunately we are not at that point... |

Totally outlawing guns will not solve the problem, that means that only criminals in gangs will have guns. It also ignores that there is a serious issue in mental health and how it is being dealt with.
