just wondering with a new format next season with the 4 divisions, what's gonna happen to this QMJHL East Division board? There are 8 teams now, we all know the Foggies will be gone next season, that leaves 7, and the Atlantic Division has 6 teams (as it just so happens they are ALL the teams in here now) minus "one" team...................soooo..............what to do with that extra ream? hmmmmm, I know, I know just throw us out of here like a bag of dirt and you'll have everything ready for next year. But what do WE do? Go in to a french speaking board? I'll have to go back to school and re-take french? ARGH! Just keep us in here, I promise we'll be good, and we won't say ONE bad word against any team in here DEAL?

Have fun, good riddance. Just when I didn't like the new format...THERE IS A POSITIVE! No but in all seriousness, do you guys even need that board? I have no problem with you guys staying but don't you guys have an official board with a lot more activity?

Well..This is what bothers me. Although the team is leaving, we still have some fans who want to follow their franchise (atleast for next season). And now, next season we will have nowhere to post and talk about Verdun (in English)

yeah we do have our own board, we were one of the few (if not the only ones) to keep ours.
Well if you don't mind me sticking around and reading your boards, hell I don't even post that often, and I don't think I'm one of them homers that are on our board. We'll see next year.
Best of luck to all the playoff teams!

This is something that the ADMINS will talk about.........in the off season. No offense intended, but why just the admins? I understand putting off the discussion until the off-season, but if I were a fan of Lewiston or Juniors de St. Verdun Fog Devils, I'd want at least a chance to speak. I'm all for an admin decision, just one with due process, and I think that means public discussion.

I understand your concern, but I guess my reasoning behind it was that it's the admins, IMO, who need to discuss whether or not they want this to be an "Atlantic Division" only board next season...as it is now a "East Division" only board. That was where I was coming from,. Nothing has even been discussed, I just tossed my personal opinion out...thats all.

Regardless of what happens with this board, I would hope the Lewiston posters that contribute now would continue to do so even if they don't have a spot on any "new" board. Currently there is no section for Quebec teams on this board but certainly I, and others as well, enjoy the posts from people like huskies29 and route138 who come here to give us a perspective on what's going on in the rest of the league. Of course, you Mainers may find yourselves having less to say about the Maritime teams, as you won't be seeing them as much to get really familiar. Like I said on your board, Lewiston has now been in divisions with 14 of their 17 league opponents... it sucks for you guys to try to build rivalries. I'd say Lewiston always had a strong rivalry with CB, probably #3 behind Halifax & Bathurst.

The General Q discussion board is for all Q discussions. Having a West only board is tough with this setup because of the language laws. So we would have a board that only a handfull of posters posted in...where the Q discussion board already allows for this process.

Verdun isn't in the East and they never have been so I don't see a point in having a board here for them, unfortunately it seems that the Fog Devils' fans are bitter about the situation and are not going to cheer for Verdun anyways...As for Lewiston, I'd like to see their board stay but that's just my opinion.

I know some Foggies fans wont be cheering for Verdun but I read on a number of occasions where they expressed interest in cheering for them. Some may want to cheer for other teams as well.
I think if anything is done on the boards to the extent of removing one of the teams then regular posters should have something to say about it. Why would it be fair that only a couple of admins make that decision? Thats like in elementary school where the five "big kids" get to control all the playground even though there are more "little kids" that play on it.

It's more like the teachers who "controlle" oops I mean control the playground even though there are more kids then teachers. The teachers are the boss, not the kids.

Thanks for throwing us out like last weeks trash! I know of numerous fans from NL who are venturing to Verdun for the home opening game. I don't think it's going to keep anybody up during the night to atleast give an english Verdun board a chance . The partial idea in uniting the team forums to one board was to hopefully attract new fans to the league and its discussion, hardly to toss some now select die hard fans of the league; out to the curb since their team moved. We can't speak French, heck..some of us can barely speak english.
