Those six mentioned from last year's team accumulated a combined 111 points before the trade deadline. Grametbauer will be no help offensively. I expect Tessier to be a PPG player in the 1st year. Kelly Klima had 32 points in 31 games. Pataki and MacRae will have a larger role offensively than Bower and Cormier. I haven't see Wieringa play as of yet. Can I see him chipping with more than Holwell did in the first half last season (14 points in 32 games)? Absolutely. Pataki and MacRae will likely play very similar roles than Cormier and Bower, they are more grinder/role players than guys that will play a big role offensively. You forgot Kevin Klima and Askew. Plus, I doubt Weiringa puts up 0.5 PPGM, he was a 0.37 PPGM player in Jr.A and put up 0 points in 8 OHL games. MacRae is likely be the 2nd line LW. He's going to get points playing with Cyr and McKenna. Your comparison was between 6 skaters from 2016/2017 to four skaters & one goaltender this season. As I said, Grametbauer will be no help offensively. I was left with only four skaters to compare to the six you mentioned. I had to leave two out. I do believe this year's additions of Anderson MacDonald and Liam Dunda will contribute much more than the two players left from my first post (Klima and Askew).

This year's team should be better defensively and in nets, but it doesn't have the offensive skill that last year's team had. Different teams but similar results.

Dunda seems to be more of Cormier type of player ... he'll bang in a few from around the net but not to be counted on for offense. So if they contribute more than Askew and Klima, MacDonald will be doing 95% of it.

What other options does he have? I know he's out until atleast November.

I don't think speculating does us any good in this case. Let's proceed as if he's never coming and if he does it's a bonus. No one knows for sure what's happening probably not even Shannon himself

Liam Murphy is leading the league in scoring. FIRE SHANNON!!! LOL, but honestly though no one expected him to contribute this much already, he really is playing great out there, the change of scenery helped him.

The test for Murphy is to do it all year, he had good weeks/months in Moncton but struggled to be consistent.

I agree, he needs to keep up his pace, he seems like he really wants it out there as of right now but anything can happen.
