He's apparently out for 6 months for more treatments... From now or from June? The medical report I heard is he had to take it easy for 3 months. Then it would take a month to 6 weeks to get in playing shape.

It says "..... will need at least 6 months of treatment". Nowhere does it say he will need 6 more months.

Liam Murphy is leading the league in scoring. FIRE SHANNON!!! I'm more concerned about Khovanov...not a good sign that nothing is in the papers... I would consider Khovanov gone until anything proves otherwise. As in he arrives in Moncton.

That's basically my thought. They will try to paint it as him being sick and wanting to stay home...but then how do they explain his instagram with the contract with Kazan.

It is just bad luck ... but Shannon seems to have his full share of bad luck. Many of his mistakes weren't luck related at all ... just based on bad decisions ... but this isn't one of them. The kid decided to sign in Russia because he was sick and I'm sure his parents wanted him close to home getting the medical care that they are comfortable with in Russia. They aren't comfortable with sending him to Canada, away from home, while he is dealing with the illness. I wouldn't be comfortable sending my kid to Russia under the same circumstances. If it takes 6 months then that is what it takes. Who are you to decide how long it should take? I have no idea what illness the kid actually has but I could make a good guess based on what was reported ... some form of Hepatitis is my guess but I have no idea if that is correct. It will take as long as it takes for him to shake of the effects of the illness ... no sooner. Now Mr. Irving has a history of helping players with illnesses and sending them down into the US for the very best medical care available (in North America), and paying the full fare. But he can't help the kid until he agrees to come here. Sounds like a good job for Barbashev to communicate that.

Once he is healthy and playing hockey, nothing prevents him from playing here if that was his plan all along. Just like with all those guys that never panned out or showed up...there is always a story. After awhile it's bad management, not bad luck.

You don't buy that but you have nothing to show it is wrong. It makes very good sense to me. Think about it ... your kid is going to Russia to play hockey but contracts an illness while your family is away on vacation. The effects of that illness can linger for years. Do you want him going to Russia to deal with the illness ... or would you rather he stay home until he gets a clean bill of health ? Hockey can wait a year. If you blame an illness on Shannon ... you are a delusional asshole. I dislike Shannon as much as you do ... but try to be realistic. I think your Trump hate has you angry at the world.

I would keep my kid at home to heal but once he is healthy why would he not play where he was going to play before? Not like he came here and got sick, it was in the Caribbean. Funny that you pull out insults when you have been shit disturbing on these boards for decades. Maybe look in the mirror...

so then you are assuming now that he is healthy? So you even know what his illness is ?
