I never really realized before but that is a grueling tournament. You play 5 round robin games and there are no days off. The teams that play in the gold and bronze games will have played 7 games in 7 days. I'm not sure if there's practice time in there as well but factor in the travel for Atlantic, Quebec and Ontario teams to get to and from BC - across multiple time zones - those kids are going to be gassed after it's all said and done. but on the plus side, im pretty sure the league champions had roughly two weeks off or so Going from 2 weeks off to 5 days in a row is a big adjustment.

Cape Breton West is 2-0! It will only get tougher as the tournament progresses but I'd love to see them do well and make the Atlantic Region proud!

Anyone have an idea who the cats are looking to pick in the import draft? Or know of any good euros who said they would come to the CHL?

Minor midget? that's quite the step back Stepping stone. Maybe ... or maybe just a way to stay involved in the game at a pretty high level while moving on to another career ... can't imagine being a minor midget coach is a full time job.

Neil Hodge confirms the Wildcats have received over 30 applications for the Assistant Coach position.
Ten have applied for the Hockey Operations Coordinator opening which involves being goalie & video coach, plus some management responsibilities.
