If Moncton does get the First Overall Pick and they were to trade it even for Dobson, I am done with this team for good and Shannon should be driven to airport to leave town immediately and Irving should just sell the team. Lafreniere is exactly the type of future super star the Wildcats need and have not had in a long time , maybe never had. Cry me a river didn't you just have the top chl player for two years a year ago? Not the same type of player at all, sure Garland put up lots of points in the regular season, but this guy was never a fav of mine, way to whinny even with his own teammates, never did much when it counted mostly in the playoffs and he will be a career AHLer at best, NHL drafted 6th round I believe. Lafreniere on the other hand has the skills and desire to be a real game changer and if he reaches his full potential will be a very good NHL player one day. Garland will never get to that level and I would never consider him to be that great even though the regular season point totals were good.

I'm assuming it's Desjardins , but Deschenes is from Fredericton. Either way , with it being a 3rd rounder , I don't mind it at all. It is Desjardins, but I don't think it's the 2017 3rd rounder going back. Is it always sure at 100% that Desjardins is heading to Moncton at draft ?

G Blackmore has 7 goals, 10 points in 12 playoff games with Truro.
Quite impressive for an affiliate player.

Let's not get carried away Roger ... that sounds like the outlandish comments Shannon spurts off in the paper with each player they draft or trade for. I saw Blackmore play a couple of times, and was impressed - I think he can play in this league. Who knows, he may even be a top 6 forward some day ... but I would not count on it as an undrafted rookie ... start my making the team ... one step at a time ...

If he is playing top 6 to start next year, then the GM and front office has dropped the ball big time. Tessier Cyr McKenna should be locks. The Cats need to add a Euro and at least one 1st round pick, both should play right away. They'll have 2 OA d-men, I would expect they trade for an OA forward. Everybody else should be 3rd and 4th line...Campannelli Murphy Taillon? Dicaire? Blackmore Hudson Wojcik plus picks and free agents. On D... Welsh(OA) Desjardins(OA) Lecoultre(Euro) Fortin plus 3-4 of Thibeault Senken 2017 1st Mercure? Massie? Free Agents and other 2017 picks.

I'm bored today. Here's a crap-shoot....
If 3rd overall is used on Jakob Pelletier....
Jakob Pelletier - Julien Tessier - Euro Liam Murphy - Mika Cyr - Jeremy McKenna Anthony Wojcik - Adam Capannelli - G Blackmore Jonathan Aspirot - Jacob Hudson -
LP Fortin - Nicholas Welsh Simon Le Coultre - Olivier Desjardins Connor Senken
If 3rd overall is Jaxon Bellamy....

I never really realized before but that is a grueling tournament. You play 5 round robin games and there are no days off. The teams that play in the gold and bronze games will have played 7 games in 7 days. I'm not sure if there's practice time in there as well but factor in the travel for Atlantic, Quebec and Ontario teams to get to and from BC - across multiple time zones - those kids are going to be gassed after it's all said and done.
