Nice that it isn't +25 outside, hopefully the ice is good.

Always look forward to the home opener!
Strange feeling knowing it's the last one at the Coliseum.

Weird lineup changes...
Aspirot on D...7 D dressed with Weiringa out
Gerald Blackmore on the top line.

Pretty quiet here...team looks more entertaining than last year...defense appears to be the main issue though...maybe it will improve once all the rookies get accustomed to the Q.
Offense will be "by committee".

I was really impressed with Dunda. He is great defensively and has a Luke Pelham-ness about him. Also Grametbauers rebound control makes a huge difference back there. Le Coultre seems to have improved quite a bit.
Their PP entry needs a lot of work. Also they might want to practice hitting an empty net. Felt like they must have had 10-15 shots at it lol.
Felt like Hudson, Tucker and Kuzmin were pretty invisible but it's only one game.

Fun game which was a nice change from the second half of last season. Pelletier is definitely going to be a fan favourite. His work ethic is second to none.
You could tell the returnees all had a bit of extra jump knowing they're on an actual legitimate hockey team once again.
I was shocked to see them acknowledge the existence of the Q version of the Alpines in the final season at the Coliseum video. Thought it was well done overall.

Tucker being invisible isn’t all that bad tho, if you didn’t notice him then he probably didn’t make a whole of defensive mistakes

He has good tools, seems more advanced with the puck than defensively, will need to tighten up his gaps. I think there will be growing pains for 2-3 months with Arsenault Bellamy and Tucker all making big jumps. As AS said, Grametbauer makes it a lot easier for the D. just a huge upgrade on what they had in nets last year. To be fair, it was two 17 year old rookies.

How’d Anderson MacDonald look? Not bad, he won't be a flashy player but he's a pure scorer similar to Dagenais. They called him a power forward, though he will compete for ice, he doesn't really play that game. I see him as a good playmaker and a great scorer with good size and deceptive speed.

I wonder if wieringa isn’t banged up, unless he was really bad against Bathurst, kinda surprised to not see him play all weekend
