Looked like an ugly game defensively against a team that was against the worst...they have a hard time winning without all star goaltending from Grametbauer.

It wouldn't have taken all star caliber goaltending to win today... he just had a bad day. I actually thought we might see a goaltending change after the second period, but I can also see the value in seeing if he turned it around in the third. Although it ended 7-4 with an empty net goal, it was a highly entertaining third period.
Not sure about the 5 min penalty to Arsenault given the fact the Shaw player seemed to indicate he wanted trouble. Anyone with a better view than I had feel the same, or was the penalty merited?

He'll have at least a couple of games suspension for that! Agressor = at least 1 game Taking off opponent helmet = 1 game |

(clarifying my original question) Did anyone with a better view than I had, feel the like the Shaw player was looking for trouble initially, or had Arsenault sparked an altercation with a completely unwilling dance partner.

I would like to see what happened before, he seems to go apeshit for no reason. definitely went a bit overboard from what we see on the video alone. |

Looks like the other guy had him in a bit of a headlock before the fight started ... and he took offense to that. They were both away from the play so it maybe started off the faceoff. Once it went to the ice it is not a whole lot different than Roy on Comtois ... but the helmet did not come off like it did for Comtois. I'm okay with 5 games and he could have got worse. Its trash IMO. Once you are sitting on top of the guy and ... in the immortal words of Frank Costanza ... "raining down blows from above" (see Festivus episode) ... then it is not a hockey fight anymore. |
