He put the team through a bag skate two years ago and it didn’t seem to lose the room Don't you think that, given there was a fine sanction, there was a formal complaint filed? Where would a complaint come from? Certainly not from the Titan. That has to be the silliest fine I ever heard tell of. |

Irving did not go bankrup yet . The cats will survive Why would Rumble agree with Shannon to take the team back on the ice after the game when they got out played ,out hit and out hustled by a better team. The Cats coaching have had them playing over their heads, they have been playing with their heart and determination. Does Shannon expect them to be at the top by the end of the season? Robert made that call. Rumble is a hockey guy, Shannon is not, claims to be GM at UNB but has nothing to do with recruiting players, etc. His spring hockey business just funds the UNB players, was a 911 guy, scouted in bathurst because he was friends with Sylvain Couturier after having Sean play spring hockey for him, was brought into Shawinigan as assistant for the end of the season / mem cup simply because he was friends with the GM and had a connection with Brandon Gormley and could help bring him there for the mem cup. All flash (Mr T wanna be with the UNB championship rings) no substance. At least Flynn was a hockey guy...I hear he's available...might be time for old to be new again, at least we had a Mem cup appearance with Flynn...oh and he was back there last year |

That should indicate which direction to take. They should already have a very strong plan, a few wins here and there should not affect your "big picture" plan. |

I can't see you guys doing that much over the trade period, who do you even move? Welsh is the only player that comes to mind as a contender will call on him and you'll get great value to use for next year and the year after when the team is more competitive. I can't see Tessier or Grametbauer being moved as they could both be top 20's next year for the team. Unless the price is high on them you keep them. Right now you have no 19 YO D, and 3 19 YO forwards one being Tessier and the other 2 being MacRae and Pataki, you could sell both of them off but their value is probably really low...
Not sure what else you guys could really do over the trade period because I can't see any of your key 17 and 18 YO's going anywhere.

Good players do not need that kind of language to understand and respond to a challenge.... This is 1980s method at its best. Sounds as though you got your PHD in Millennial Psychology through correspondence. They should just have scheduled an early morning "conditioning" practice to help stretch those tired muscles from the night before, much more effective then a bag skate and cheaper. |

Get that through your head" Romanticizing parts of our past that we've learned were unnecessary and came from uneducated thinking doesn't say much when we have 40 years of additional information to learn from. Back then players also would have been encouraged to play through concussions and symptoms as if they simply had a flu and there was no such thing as mental health awareness. It was a "stick you head in the sand and ignore reality" time as people watched an old boxer like Ali continue to get in the ring despite all signs saying nobody in their right mind should have allowed it. Times change and we learn from our past. We can't always repeat it. |
