Cats have had nearly a week off, I believe they will have everyone back from injury tonight unless something changed
With all the rest a good start and prepared team should be expected.
Pelletier-Khovanov-MacDonald McKenna-Cyr-Capanelli Seitz-Phelan-Pataki Hudson-Kuzmin-Blackmore Lazure/Fox
Welsh-Aspirot Sylvestre-Miromanov Le Coultre-Arsenault Tucker
Lines are always scrambled halfway through the game with Rumble anyway but something like that
I don't expect a win here, Moose are playing well & just got Zadina back, but hoping for an entertaining game. They are playing a 3 in 3 though which is strange to see with all games in the maritimes.
I'll be the guy nervously anticipating the noisemeter.

I don't understand why Phelan isn't on the ice during that PP , best face-off man and has two goals tonight.
And the struggles are real for leCoultre...

They were all over us in that third period. I don’t know how the shots stayed even and we lead in shots. Our systems are embarrassing and really starting to look at Rumble. They had open side Opportunities all period cross ice passes one timers, open guys everywhere caus they are moving their feet.
They are one third in three and we have had a Week to rest and practice and they took it to us that period...

That was god damn terrible. Halifax deserved to win plain and simple.

I also don't understand how Le Coultre can make such an obvious mental mistake then get sent right back out on the first PP opportunity moments later. Not much of a merit system.
Entertaining game though, felt like a playoff game. Still would rather the game end in OT rather than a shootout so theres that.
This team hasn't been able to string together any sort of winning streak since early in the season, lots of talent out there regardless of the mess at the trade deadline. Gotta wonder if Rumbles on a short leash at this point.

There’s something wrong if they’re not looking at getting a new Euro for next season.

So many blown chances to put away a team that was playing their third game in three days. If you can’t score on a full two minute 5-on-3 you don’t deserve to win.
The Cats have been in most games and the effort has usually been there but...
3 wins in their last 21 games. THREE wins since Nov 18.
That is awful.

But the big difference for me( from last year) is the talent is there. At what point do we start pointing the finger at the coaching. Their power play is anemic I mean it is goddamn awful. Painful to watch, no creativity, no quick movement, back door, slot etc it is square box move it to point down low point downlow. It is not effective at all. They don’t adjust..

Halifax had the appearance of a tired team tonight in most aspects but got some life coming off that 5-on-3 when Wildcats couldn’t put one in the net. If the current team is gonna be the nucleus for next yrs bid and contention for MEM Cup, perhaps further adjustments are required, coaching or mgt whatever.
