Been looking forward to this one for a while. Certainly going to bring back some memories to see those Hawks jerseys on Coliseum ice for one final time.
Kudos and thank you to the entire Moncton Wildcats organization for making this happen!
Not expecting much in terms of results but hopefully an entertaining game for what should be a big crowd.

Billy Riley left Brazil yesterday to be here for today's game.

Not much to analyze from the game itself. The effort was mostly there but the Titan are just too strong of a team. Same old story of far too many defensive breakdowns.
The Hawks sweaters looked incredible. If it was up to me they would drop the silly Wildcats nickname and become the Hawks on a full time basis. It's a name that goes way back beyond the AHL years and is synonymous with Moncton hockey history. Of course it's most definitely not up to me. Going to be a let down seeing them back in the Cats sweaters after last night.

Gotta admit it was one of the better, if not the best pre game shown I have seen as some of these can be a tad cheesy. As for game itself, yes a reasonable effort, Cats were matching Bathurst goal for goal until later part of third. Bathurst is in third place overall in the League and they play a tight game.

Agreed on the pre-game presentation. Was very pleasantly surprised to see the video messages from some of the more notable former AHL guys. They did a great job on the night as a whole. Lots of attention to detail like playing all 80's and early 90's music during the warm-up's and throughout the game. It was really neat seeing some of the old Hawks videos on the screen as well. Definitely dug out some footage deep from the archives.

For sure. We moved here in 1989 from NL and do remember the early 90’s Hawks games, it was pro hockey and many future NHL guys certainly good hockey, our kids enjoyed it as fun atmosphere and very reasonably priced for the family.

I find those old jerseys very boring. Wasn't at the game yesterday. I think you forget though that when Irving bought the franchise he wanted a knew identity and hyped the shit out of the Wildcat name and logo which was a big part of the immediate financial success of the franchise.
To shift back to a tired old name from the past would be asinine.

From a nostalgic prospective, it(Hawkes Jerseys) looked cool last night brought back some good fun Coliseum memories from 28 yrs ago for us when we took up residence in NB. .

I was a diehard Moncton Hawks fan. Does anyone know if they plan to sell these jersey's? They auctioned them off, the online auction just ended. Looks like it was a huge success, every jersey went for $250+ with several jerseys over $400 and Pelletier and McKennas were $575 I hope this means we get some more special jersey nights.

I don't live in Moncton, was hoping they would have an online sale. Didn't find out about this game until yesterday, had I known I would have driven there.
