Jonathan Aspirot suspended for Game 3. What a joke, league getting a little carried away with suspension now aren’t they? I’d love to see a list of how many suspensions came from 2 min minor penalties for checkin from behind. It wasn’t even a major. There are hundreds of checking from behind penalties called all year and I would guess the smallest of percentage points are followed up wiht a suspension... let me guess, it was on Lafreniere? Bullshit, Rimouski afraid sending in league tapes pfft

Just did a quick scan of first two playoff games then compared the penalties to the suspensions.....
Ethan Crossman game 1 check from behind- no suspension
Jeremy Michel game 2 abuse of an official - no suspension
Mathieu Sevigny game 2 check to head major and game misconduct - no suspension
The only playoff suspensions have come to Aspirot on his 2 min minor for check from behind and Stewart for the Aggressor.... like come on

If it’s the hit I’m thinking of then it seems like a pretty weak suspension to me. That’s only after having seen it once though.
Not good news for the Cats since their depth on the blueline is weak. If only they had a 16 year old first round pick dman to lean on like Rimouski did in Game 2...
Yeah, I know. Beating a dead horse.

And no, it was on Nathan Ouellet, 4th liner guy!
For me, both suspension, Stewart and Aspirot are deserved

That’s all fine and dandy both refs called it, but both refs deemed it a minor... how many suspensions stem from a minor call. Also since you want to dwell on the fact both referees called it, is that what seems a suspension? Both refs raising there arms. Hell we better double the suspensions this year, cause I’ve seen both refs call the same penalties often.... It’s lowball shit on routine plays, funny how it comes immediately after a newspaper article where Beausoleil acknowledges the contribution Aspirot makes to his team ( being a forward transitioned back to defence). Any edge right #3 seed 🙄 Not sure how you can see the Stewart suspension any other way, it was an automatic game for being assessed an aggressor. The Asiprot suspension is yet another example of A) the inconsitencies in the league with discipline or B) it’sis teams sending in weak attempts to league to get an edge.. I just listed several similar or worse penalties in the first two games of playoff with no further discipline?

Aspirot was probably one of the best player of your team on the ice this week end. Serge said nothing bad?

What a terrible hockey game. Didn’t necessarily expect a win but was hoping we would be in for some good playoff hockey after what we saw in the first two games. Not even close. Complete lack of emotion in the game until it was already out of hand.
On the other hand great road game for Rimouski.
Hopefully tomorrow is more like the first two games.

That was the best game I have seen Kuzmin play. He can really use his size and hit when he wants to get involved.

I suspect a Rim win Wednesday evening and they will wrap it up Friday night back on their own turf

Hard to win when the defense allows teams unchecked in front, Lecloutre had a brutal night and Sylvestre wasn't much better. For a veteran defense(only one player under 18) they are horrible defensively.
