Keep the Lafreniere shadow going, he was invisible after the first Rimouski goal, seems to be getting frustrated by it and Seitz can keep up with him. Tougher on the road but you can do some quick switchups to make it work. Yannick Jean did it against Garland here. What a shorthanded goal by Pataki after 3 consecutive successful PK's. That was one to remember. Hudson worked his ass off tonight and his physical play on guys much bigger than him is impressive. That shadow job by Seitz was reminiscent of Kory Baker on Mike Ribeiro back in 99! If they can keep out of the penalty box to minimize the Lafreniere affect, we may have an opportunity to upset. Or Ryan Salvis on Sidney Crosby ... he had that little boy crying by the end.

Or Ryan Salvis on Sidney Crosby ... he had that little boy crying by the end. That was pretty cool ... I wonder how amazing that must be for Salvis to look back on? I mean, even at the time, Crosby was a star, but the fact that he went on to become one of the all time greats of the game ... 50 years from now, long after most people have forgotten that Salvis was even a hockey player in his younger days, Salvis will be able to sit around and tell his grandkids and their friends about the time he shut Sid the Kid down for a playoff series ...

Oh Yes. The Kory Baker series.. In my opinion one of the most exciting series in our history and our first real run for the championship. Coming back in Game 7 in the 3rd period against Quebec was certainly memorable.

"We've got Rimouski right where we want them..." And they have got the Wildcats right where they want them..... I think you should be sticking to your own board, and worrying about your own team instead of trolling over here, and contributing nothing to this discussion. Maybe you didn't read or comprehend the original post, but he made the original post because he thought it was a 2-3-2 travel format and the Cats had achieved a split in Rimouski.

Except Lafreniere is a 16 year old, and Ribeiro was 19, I think...but you gotta do what you gotta do. So question-if you're Rumble, do you mix up the lines and put a defensively responsible player on each line to counter Riki's ability to have the last line switch at home, or just switch lines at the first opportunity after a faceoff to get the Seitz line out there? Very impressive game by the Cats last night. A lot of guys played really well, but I thought Hudson and Aspirot had great games. Well done Cats

I like Aspirot and I also thought he had a great game. The fact that he had an extra day off probably helped him both physically and mentally. He would have been chomping at the bit to get going again, not that he needs a lot of encouragement.

I think he can be a solid 2nd pair guy on a contender if they can get the right pieces around him. He's a better d-man than Sylvestre whom they paid a fortune for.

I'll be shocked if he's not drafted or invited to an NHL camp.

I think Capannelli deserves some credit too... He's upped his game in the playoffs and is showing his potential as a top 6 forward.

Not the biggest or fastest guy.

He may surprise me, but I don't see him becoming a top 6 on a contender unless he takes a big step forward. Too many games this year he was a complete non factor.

Too many games this year he was a complete non factor. 11 pts in his last 11 games + 5 in 4 games in the playoffs. Considering he didnt start playing until end of November he looks alright to me. I actually like him as a solid 3rd liner with great passing ability that can chip in on offense. He plays suprisingly physical for a smaller guy. He can go on PP 2 and not be out of place. Too much of the expectations on him are around Shannons trade and thats not fair to him.

Name one player that Shannon selected that wasn't or should have been a number 1 draft pick, he tries so hard to make himself look like a genius, with all of his picks, it's laughable.
