Bisson lost an edge but Hudson likely got himself suspended with the "finish". It reminds me of the hit on Ted Stephens several years ago ... that one went unsuspended. It almost looks like Hudson tripped over him. But ... Hudson needed to back off at that time to avoid exactly this. I'm okay with the suspension.

I don't recall the Stephens hit - I am getting old and my memory is fading ... From the video I saw, I think the suspension is fair and warranted ... not saying Hudson is a vicious predator or anything, but it was the kind of play where he needed to be a little more cautious - he allowed himself to be in a bad position, and a dangerous hit resulting in an injury occurred. Consequence seems fair to me.

I know this stuff happens in a split second, but the Hudson hit and the Khadri hit, both instances, the player had a chance to let up with his opponent in a vulnerable spot.

Well this is nothing like the Khadri hit. Khadri was targeting because Marner had got hit moments before. This Hudson hit is just a hockey play as two guys are racing for the puck ... but still a greasy play. Khadri had all the time in the world to avoid the hit on a guy down on his knees ... but he just wanted to hit him.

I think it was the last time he ever played for Moncton ... or maybe he did come back later in the playoffs. It was a similar play ... chasing the puck behind the net at top speed, and the Dman chasing him gives him a shove as he is turning, and he goes face first into the boards.

The Kadri hit - he was mad and looking to hurt his opponent.

You are quite right SteveUL. It was in Bathurst and Stephens was chasing the puck. It just so happens that I was at the game but I can't remember if he played after that in the same year or even the following year. My memory is fading also. Is it St FX that he played for after his Junior career was over?

They have to clear their own zone without giving up the puck so much and stay out of box to have a chance.

I expect a big game out of Phelan. He's playing on the same ice as he will be playing on for the next 4 years
