Confirmed today that the long discussed replacement for Centennial Arena in Dieppe is going ahead, Feds and NB are on board with funding. Will be a community centre featuring two ice surfaces, walking track, indoor community garden, and several community rooms. Main rink to seat 1,100, secondary 300. Construction to begin this summer and be complete for summer of 2020.

It's being built on the site of the Centennial Arena, so there will be one less arena for 2 years while it's being built, correct? |

It's being built on the site of the Centennial Arena, so there will be one less arena for 2 years while it's being built, correct? Being built behind the old rink where the ball fields were. The old rink is supposed to remain open during construction. |
