Ice Bar soft launch is tonight for anyone interested.
Ticket sales look pretty good for an October game against a quebec team. Id imagine a few people home for thanksgiving want to check out the rink.
Interested to see if the Armada still play a tight defensive style now that Bouchard has moved on. Still a few familar faces on the team from last years playoff series.

Probably see a lot of the teams from the Atlantic Challenge Cup in attendance.

Still a few familar faces on the team from last years playoff series. Based on Samson's eye popping numbers early on I would guess that the Armada are still keeping it pretty tight at the back. As a team they're first in goals allowed per game at 1.96 and sixth best in shots allowed at 27.6. Tonight would be a good time for some Cats to rediscover their scoring touch. Bit of an odd stat in the early season - Cats have scored first in 4 of their 5 games but have won just 1 of those. Only Val-d'Or has a worse record when scoring first.

Cats were lucky to escape with one tonight. Aside from the goaltending on both sides tonight was almost unwatchable. This team is a tire fire right now. They can’t even make fundamental hockey plays.

Not sure what game you were watching. Most complete 60 minute effort I’ve seen from a Wildcats team in at least 3 years.

Cats should have curb stomped them, but I thought they let them hang around with incredibly sloppy hockey. The D in particular are trying to do way too much and it’s leading to numerous cringeworthy turnovers. They badly miss having a reliable puck moving defenceman. Up front they benefitted from two pretty lucky bounces for some garbage goals but their shots generally weren’t quality chances. Passing has been brutal IMO and seems like every odd man rush ends with an offside. Maybe they’re gripping the sticks too tight - I dunno, but I see a team struggling to make simple plays. Not just tonight but in general.

The way I saw it the D played a lot better last night than against the Screaming Eagles on the previous game. During that previous game all the D thought they were Bobby Orr including Sylvestre and the result was that the Wildcats allowed 31 dangerous shots out of 49 vs 13 out of 24 shots last night. I thought that last night the D was picking their chances to rush and when they did the forwards were covering for them.
