Really enjoy your show. I’d love to hear more general QMJHL talk. Maybe an Around the ‘Q’ segment. But then again, I’m not a Wildcats fan so I’m not exactly the targeted demographic, haha.

I’ve been watching a lot of Quebec Midget AAA games through their website and I’ll be attending the Monctonian. Really odd that missing a 25-30 goal scorer doesn't get talked about. Grametbauer got 2-3 articles about his injury and MacDonald was barely mentioned in the bottom of a game story. Considering the price we paid to get him he shouldn't be overlooked good or bad |

Could have also been attending the Isles camp on a loan with a trade condition if he makes the team. Gets cut, goes back to Moncton.

1)break down each contending team by # of players in each age group to see who is in the final year of contention versus possible 2 year contenders
2)build an air tight case on why the Cats should NOT go for it this year, and see what they would need to do, or add, to be realistic contenders for the next 2 years
3)revisit some old trades with hindsight and highlight the 2 or 3 best trades, and 2 or 3 worst trades in franchise history
4)A what are they doing now segment, or even a more detailed profile of a past player each week, breaking down that players life since they left the Cats organization. Real life stories would be interesting to get updated on
5)a segment on the decline of fighting, and fighters in the Q

5)a segment on the decline of fighting, and fighters in the Q Out of curiosity I looked at the trends. fights per game: (% of games with fights) 18-19 - 0.29 (24.79) 14-15 - 0.67 (45.59) 09-10 - 0.65 (41.34) 04-05 - 1.23 (60.71) 99-00 - 1.47 (62.07) 95-96 - 1.77 (69.59) The Q this year has a drop of fights from 0.39 to 0.29 per game, while the WHL and OHL are near enough identical. (0.44 to 0.43 and 0.22 to 0.22 respectively) |
