Total domination in the 2nd as the Cats put up 5
Le Coultre now leads all defenseman in goals scored. I'm not sure it makes sense to upgrade on him with the offense he brings. Id rather them spend assets to add a 2 way guy (non euro) who improves the team defense and leads to Le Coultre to being less exposed against top lines.

I wouldn't bother trading for a Euro, more likely an OA d-man like Bilodeau, Pataki is a solid player, but you can replace Pataki with a 19 year old depth forward. Tucker LeCoultre and Spence have all been pleasant surprises on D. They still need to add a big piece to compete for a championship, but doing it for an OA is likely cheaper than a 19 year old, plus it would take some heat off those 3 guys.

I feel like every defenseman on the team has taken a huge step forward. I'm not sure who deserves the credit but player development has been excellent over the past year.

Every player except this years draft , de Jong, Leclerc, and King were brought in by Shannon ! But the big difference seems that rumble is developing the rookie’s and not riding his top line every game , this has already payed off as Moncton went through some injuries already and all the young players are contributing !
I hope moncton doesn’t mess with the chemistry and see where the team ends up , next year moncton will still have their depth up front and hopefully will have a good draft with bathurst’s first round pick. They really could use a veteran D-man ( which team doesn’t ) as long as it doesn’t cost more than a 2nd and or 3rd round pick, or a good faceoff veteran .
This team has great chemistry , and what impressed me is that they are beating the teams that that should be beating , ie teams lower than them in the standings, it is great that they pick up their game when playing a top team but then take teams under them lightly and give up points , but that has not happened so far, credit to the players and the Coaching staff whatever they are doing hopefully they keep doing it.

I don't find Rumble plays the young guys more except for Desnoyers and Spence, who have earned the minutes they get. Unless games are a blowout, we don't see a ton of the 4th line, on D they play a lot with 5 D. The big difference to me is goaltending, plus they have more scoring depth up front. The defense looks better because they are not defending as much plus the goalie makes the big saves.

Having a backup that can be trusted is very important and Lavallee is 7-2 so far.. keeps Leclerc fresh. We didn’t have that last year. Also, Hudson and Capannelli have taken big steps forward this year which makes us deeper up front. Makes you wonder if MacDonald was healthy can progress like they have?

What was hard for Grametbauer last year, he had to come in every game with Waite constantly shitting the bed on top of playing hurt.

What is Grametbauers excuse this year? Love the kid but no dice this year either. Maybe he is still hurt I was looking at his GAA last year, definitely wasnt poor, especially for Q hockey. This year it has climbed substantially He was overworked thats for sure, he looked tired I am thankful for LeClerc this year, thats for sure

If you're comparing his numbers with Leclerc, then you have no clue what you're talking about.

The big difference so far between Leclerc and Grametbauer is that the former is much more consistent. I have a hard time recalling many weak goals this season. Leclerc is simply a real solid goaltender who’s generally going to make the saves that he should.
In saying that it definitely helps to have a capable back-up that can give your starter a night off. Not an ideal situation at all last year with Grametbauer appearing in 58 of 68 games.

I thought Grametbauer was very good the first 2-3 month then the strain of having a terrible back up and(I imagine) his hip injury caught up to him and he wasn't the same the 2nd half, though he had very good playoffs. Having a solid back up helps, plus the defense is improved from last year.
