Moncton will be without Gabriel Sylvestre (suspension), Jacob Hudson (injury). Plus Jakob Pelletier and Elliot Desnoyers are in Quebec writing CEGEP tests.
Anderson MacDonald is a game-time decision. Might have one or two call-ups.

I've been told Anderson MacDonald will be in the lineup tonight. For a few shifts anyway ... until he pushes too hard and that knee goes out again.

Okay ... not a great third period last night. They seemed to come out flat after a pretty good second period. Lavalee was not great but you can't hang the loss on him. But he has seemed to regress a little from his early season starts. He struggled with rebounds last night which he was handling quite well early on this year.
They have suddenly switched to Khovanov on the point on the PP, and even though they went 2/5 on the PP I am not sure I like it. Khovanov loves to shoot and that will end up with breakaways the other way as he shoots into shinpads. I like him better on the half boards. I guess with Pelletier missing they switched things around a little, but that change was not needed.

How did MacDonald look last night? I'm sure his conditioning will be something to work on.

He did have a few moments where he made people take notice. He looked good but his timing was off as expected. He didn't look slow. If he starts getting a regular shift with regular line mates then I think he'll be contributing offensively sooner rather than later, if he can stay healthy.

I'm not going to blame Lavallee for the loss last night, but I have no problem blaming Rumble for his usage of the goaltenders in the last four games. He plays Leclerc in every game of the 3-in-3 against mostly mediocre non-conference opponents (Sherbrooke is proving to be above average) and then goes with the 16-year-old in a game against a strong conference opponent when the Cats have key players missing. CB had key players missing as well so there's zero excuse in that regard. That deployment of Leclerc and Lavallee makes no sense to me and I'm all for Lavallee getting as much action as possible, but they put him in a bad spot last night.
Regardless of who was in goal that third period was abysmal. The Cats showed all the urgency of a mid-August scrimmage in trying to tie the game.
Four losses in the last six games now. Coming back down to earth or a blip on the radar? Three of the next five games are against Charlottetown and Halifax so we should have an answer before the break.

Agree, the Shawinigan game would have made a lot more sense.
