Cats are now responsible for three of the Sea Dogs' eight wins this season. Maybe they'll raise a banner for this truly special accomplishment.
In all seriousness they got exactly what they deserved for playing with intensity for about 15 total minutes in the game. You could see when they played with intensity in the second period and the speed of the game increased and Moncton started to seize control.
Clearly they had no interest in maintaining that and decided to be lazy and take penalties instead. Another two points thrown in the trash.
This is looking eerily similar to the story we've seen written in two of the last three seasons.

^ What is Moncton's pick situation like? They don't have anything they want to sell since they'll be back next year so if they're keeping everyone if they have a surplus of picks I guess it makes sent to throw a few away for a really halfassed run and maybe one of those guys improves your 20s next year.

I doubt either of the guys they added beats out McKenna, Cyr or Aspirot for a spot as a 20 next year.

If for some reason McKenna ends up going pro Huntley is a solid option as a 20 but I'm not sure how strong that possibility is. He's probably in the same category as Barre-Boulet who played at 20. Right now hes not completely dominating by any means. The cats draft pick situation is still very good so I have no concerns there. The assets that have come in and out this trade period really won't have much impact on going all in next season if that's what they are targeting. There's still a chance to turn the season around aim for at least home ice in the first round but I think a coaching change is desperately needed. Too many inconsistent efforts against bad teams and seeing the same mistakes.

I would shop Cyr…if I can move Cyr for a 1st rounder plus a good 2000 forward(at the draft), I would do it. 1-it helps the D by opening up a spot for Huntley next year 2-it opens up a full time top 9 spot for Desnoyers 3-a 1st rounder can be a d-man that can step into the top 6 next year, they have a big need for young D 4-Cyr is healthy, he has been injury prone so his value is likely at it’s max. In June it likely drops by 40 or 50%.
