So tonight is game 2 of the back to back, home and home games between these two teams. I won't make any predictions on what the score might be. But now that Torchetti has seen his guys play, and has seen Cape Breton play I expect us to take somewhat of a different approach tonight. We didn't look great on Wednesday but came out ahead anyway. I expect CB to come at us harder.
I think Torchetti will start Lavallee tonight because the games don't get any easier from here for the next 7 starts. The next game vs a weaker opponent is February 10 (vs SJ). Torchetti will want to get a look at everybody right off the bat, and so anybody that didn't dress Wednesday will probably draw in tonight (if available).
Not sure of the status of Aspirot.

Heard he lot like 10 teeth and has a concussion.

Heard he lot like 10 teeth and has a concussion. What happened to him? Took a hard punch in the mouth in the fight with Declan Smith

Torchetti is in a tough spot with Lavallee for tonigh't game. Do you want to put him in a 4 point game after Leclerc's strong game Wed against the same team?

Not sure of the status of Aspirot. Heard he lot like 10 teeth and has a concussion. This has to be an exaggeration. I sit five rows back from the benches at the red line and I had a clear view of Aspirot when he leaned over our bench after the fight. Someone talked to him from the bench, and when he opened his mouth to reply, I could see some blood on his lips, but couldn’t tell if he had lost teeth. Originally, we thought the refs were looking for his contact lens(es) because he didn’t appear to have lost teeth. How could you lose 10 teeth from one punch?

I don't know how many, but I'm sure he lost at least 4. Witnesses behind the bench tell me they found 3 originally and one after the next whistle (could have been pieces of teeth). God knows what that did to his jaw. Problem with fighting a south paw is that sometimes it takes a couple solid wacks to change your instinctual fighting strategy. I'd say Smith hit him with perfectly thrown punch, at just the right angle to do that kind of damage. Unfortunate.

I stand corrected, 3 teeth.

I'd have to think that would do some damage to Declan Smith's hand too.

How can you go a full 3rd period with 0 shots on goal after registering only 4 shots in the 2nd period? Was anybody playing other than Leclerc?

Wasn't a fan of the choice of the 2 forwards when Eagles were 6 on 4 with 15 seconds remaining in the 3rd, but I'm not the coach

I think this shows that our team hasn’t been well conditioned. We have seen multiple times especially recently that we play good for 20-40 minutes but can’t put a full game together. We wear down and other teams take it to us when we get ahead.

Ususally come out and play desperate after a coach is fired, this team has kept playing pretty crappy hockey. They could have easily lost all 4 points to CB if not for Leclerc and a few bounces. Torchetti can't be too happy with what he's seen...
