I didn’t see the Aspirot interference so I can’t comment on that but a suspension to Anttalainen is a complete joke. Dube slowed up when he saw he wasn’t going to win the race to the puck, and then he dropped his shoulder to make a hit...Dube initiated the contact with Alekksi. Yes, that’s a fucking joke of a suspension. Sorry Dube got hurt, and that he’s going to miss time, but he was not gooned up.

They showed the replay on Rogers like 5 times and that's not what I saw, Anttalainen hit him like 5-6 feet before he touched the puck.

I have no idea what the Aspirot suspension was for. I would really like to see what that one was about.

I have no idea what the Aspirot suspension was for. I would really like to see what that one was about. He hit Stewart in a vulnerable position into the boards. He got two minutes for interference, but it looked a bit more dangerous on the replay. The best replays are at 1:23:35 of the webcast if you have access to the replay.

See, now I thought part of the reason Dube got launched like he did is because he didn't slow up and didn't brace for contact with the Moncton player.

I had the benefit of being able to watch the whole play develop live with my own eyes. They were both racing for the puck, Anti had the angle on him so Dube slowed down and dropped his shoulder for contact. Dube went flying because he turned from the contact at the last second instead of following through on his own check.

Dube didn't slow up at all. He was puck watching and going full tilt.
That's something he will learn, he's a rookie with 14 games under his belt and is still figuring out what he can get away with at this level.
I feel a bit for Anttaleinen tho, tough position to be in, you want to make contact there, and the puck is right there. That said its a dangerous place on the ice and you have to be careful.

He only stops moving his feet because the boards are in front of him. Anttaleinen changes his angle to hit Dube. He's not going for the puck he's taking the man, hard to argue that.

Play the 2 seconds before this please. Dube changed his angle first, AND lowered his shoulder for contact first. He was clearly getting ready to engage in a hit which Anti did as well. Anti followed through and Dube did not. Changed his mind? I don’t know, but I do know what it looks like when someone is bracing to make contact, and Dube was doing that. Edit:I must say though that that clip/angle makes the contact look bad
