Cajkovic probably has a better chance at improving his draft ranking and possibly getting back into the 1st round playing in the U-18s than in a lopsided series against the Huskies. If Cajkovic can get drafted in the first round that would create more options for the Sea Dogs.

He’d likely get in both, the u18s only start April 18th

The Sea Dogs have gotten at least a point tonight against the Mooseheads. Can't say I would have guessed this would happen.

They're ahead on Shawinigan now, no? 12 ROW to the Cataractes 11. Shawinigan trails Chicoutimi, 3-1, early in the second.

Shawinigan gets at least a point against the Tigres and eliminate the Sea Dogs from the playoffs.

Both teams were lucky that the other let them stay in the playoff picture as long as they did. At least the Sea Dogs had something to play for down the stretch even if it ultimately didn't go their way in the end. They also finished the season with respectable efforts on the road against some pretty good teams, as opposed to 4 inevitable blowout losses against a VERY good team.

Shawinigan only lost 4-1 to RN last night and are currently up 1-0 very early tonight. While I don't expect that lead to last they are doing better so far than I thought any 16th seed would do against RN. I suspect the Huskies might be taking them a bit lightly.

You’re right, the 1-0 lead won’t last cause it’s somehow 2-0 EDIT: Make it 3-0, wow!

2 games in R-N and neither one was a blowout. Not saying it would have gone the same for us but if I thought even one game would be reasonably close, I probably would have hoped to make the playoffs much more.
I imagine this will act as a wakeup call for R-N and the next 3 games will in fact be blowouts.

I can remember in two different years in Moncton, we had contending teams and faced Victoriaville in Round 1 both times. I think we lost both games 1's at home. It was always a case of taking the weaker opponent lightly and then facing a hot goaltender and getting frustrated. One of those series ended in Danny Flynn losing his job, and the black mark of Roger Shannon taking over ... a very dark day in our history.
