Cornish not making me feel warm and fuzzy if Rodrigue was to go down. He's playing worse than Lavallee with a better team in front of him... I think he has played very well ... not sure what you have been watching while you vacationed in China.

Lavallee had some really good games for Moncton but I found he was inconsistent - when he was on, he was very good, but he didn't have too many "average" games - he was either really good or really not-so-good. DLC is not going to steal too many games, but I find he's very consistent game to game- giving exactly what you expect from a backup on a contender. Most contenders will be in trouble if the starter goes down for any length of time - not too many teams can carry two bona-fide starters.

I didn't have confidence in Lavallee and neither did Torchetti. They simply felt that they had to address that issue. He had good games and bad games, and the team won several of his bad games, which were almost totally versus bottom level teams. His game versus BBA at home was the decider for him I am certain. DLC has not been perfect but he instills confidence. He is far more experienced and was surprisingly better than I expected. While Rodrigue was away, I wasn't confident in DLC but then he won me over. Nobody likes giving away young players but I think they did the right thing. Is there anybody in the Q that is better off than us in goal at this point ? I am not saying that we are the best but I think we adequately addressed the confidence issue wrt our backup goaltender. The team went all in ... the future was not a priority during the trading period.

Rimouski is better off then Moncton is, I don’t think it’s even a contest there but after that you can make the argument for 2, maybe 3 teams (Wildcats included in that) for having the next best goalie situation.

Out of the contenders, I think it’s only Rimouski who is clearly better. I think Sherbrooke, Cape Breton and Chicoutimi are all in a similar position as Moncton with backups that are fine, but who you wouldn’t want to rely on in the playoffs. Obviously, Chicoutimi’s backup has been pretty bad since the trade so they’re obviously in the worst situation right now but I don’t think he’s as bad as he’s been playing.

Anyone know the latest rumour of the 2 Cats going to Halifax at the draft? I've heard Pelletier/Spence and I've head Spence/L'Hereux I actually don’t think you’re getting two players, I think you’re getting one. L’Heureux. Maybe you’re keeping some of the draft picks, I don’t know

Not sure where to stick this post.
Seen at the game tonight in RKI's box with RKI and Jean Brousseau was Gerard Gallant. Does it mean anything for next year???

I think it’s been mentioned that Boyce is his son-in-law so that’s why he’s probably in Moncton. Maybe Irving would try to work him a bit since LaCroix has seemingly not committed to next year, but I can’t see him wanting to come back to coach the horrible team Moncton will have next year. If he comes back to Junior (which I doubt he will), I assume it will be to take the job opening in Saint John.

I been saying this since the trade- OR goes down your doomed. Sorry but there is a difference in reg season to playoff hockey and whoever did this deal should go way back in looking at certain players. Cmon man. Stop listening to the family advisors and agents of these cats.5 hole has been and will always be the spot to score if that situation presents itself. Seen it a lot and still see it.

ACtually cant wait to see the 20-21 Wilcats. Probley be in the same spot in standings as the 19-20 Moose or titan so we can all enjoy seeing a crappy maritime division a hundred times as the seadogs problay thump everyone. The league is becoming horrible for zero parity.
