As someone that's been fascinated by this NHL preseason with all the new faces cracking rosters and making lineups. I was shocked and delighted to see Tomas Jurco not only crack the Oilers lineup starting the season. But based off of practice lineups and chemistry found in the preseason. He appears to be on the Wing of the top line alongside Connor McDavid. I always thought of how Skilled Jurco was when he was in Saint John and how he never really seemed to get solid footing in an NHL lineup. Hoping this is a turning point for him in the NHL.

Didn't even realize that he was with the Oilers organization now. What a great opportunity this is for him. Hard to believe it's been more than 7 years since he's played here. In that time he's been up and down between the AHL and NHL but hopefully this time he manages to make the most of it and stick the Oilers, especialy on that top line.

Most of the Oilers related stuff I've seen has their regular season first line not including Jurco. They have Kassian in there with the big two.
Jurco is anticipated to start on the second line though, which is still great news because if the Oilers decide to split their big guns onto seperate lines, Jurco likely then moves up to first line duty.

They might have the worst group of wingers in the NHL. Huge chance for him to shine if you can play consistently and stay in that top 6.
Not like they have many other options if things don't go well anyway.

Well he was playing alongside McDavid in preseason and during practice up until today. He was not seen on the ice at practice today and apparently is getting an operation done. Hope for a speedy recovery.
