The Sea Dogs try to get back in the win column and earn their first road win tonight as they travel to Halifax for the first time this year.
The Sea Dogs beat Halifax to open the season 4-3.
Not sure the health of Maxim Cajkovic as he has sat out the past couple of games. White has 2 more games of his suspension left.
Go Sea Dogs Go!!

Joshua Roy had his best game in a Sea Dogs uniform against Quebec. He didn’t show up on the scoresheet but he was moving his feet and competing hard for the puck which created good chances to score. I hope this continues as he adjusts and gets comfortable in the Q.

Would be nice to hold a 3rd period lead to get at least a point. That late 2nd period PP goal was the dagger. Could see that blown lead coming a mile away after that one. This same Moose lineup, even with the guys they are missing, would have blown last year's team out, so at least they are competing.
Villeneuve had 4 assists but his +/- was an even zero. Not saying it was his fault and I know 2 assists came on the PP, but that pretty much sums up this season so far for this team. Offence is clicking but they give up way too many goals despite getting some solid goaltending. It seems like the goalies keep us in it for the first 30 shots or so but then the goals start going in exponentially as the shots keep coming after that.
Badelementi seems to be a good find. Contributes at both ends. Out of the few 19 year olds on this team, I'd say he has the best chance at being back next season. Also have to echo what said earlier about Roy starting to look better. Nice to see him on the score sheet again.

At least that I've heard directly from talking to other fans, and from overhearing the various conversations of other people at the rink. Coaching of the D could be part of the problem.....I don't know. What is for sure though is that when the top 5 of your D corps consists of 5 17 year olds (all/most of which would be considered offensive defensemen), with 3 "journeyman" type "veterans" filling out the bottom end of the roster, you better expect defensive breakdowns and errors, and some goals scored against you.

Yup! I like all of those 5 D-men as individuals. But as a unit, the D is so young. I see some people say we need to bring in a 20 year old d-man, but if we do that, then which 20 do we have to give up? Our captain and only player with any meaningful playoff experience? Our leading scorer and probably best penalty killing forward? Or our #1 goalie and probably our best player in the 3 games we've won? A non-NHL drafted 19 year old that is strong in his own end and likely to be back next year would be my preference. Yes he'd obviously cost more than a 20 (at least in terms of the actual trade) but at least he wouldn't use a 20 spot this season and could be back next season when there would be 20 spots available for him.

Agreed. If Baie Comeau wants their first round pick back, maybe a deal for Xavier Bouchard could be figured out....then we'd have to hope Gerard Gallant and company did us a favor and sent him back as a 20. If Drummondville wants their pick back, maybe a deal involving Pelletier? He's only 18 too. Those deals would cost though, but that we have their 1st round picks to begin with might make things easier to accomplish.

Villeneuve had 4 assists but his +/- was an even zero. Villeneuve was named CHL player of the night on Thursday, in a game that apparently had a ton of NHL scouts.
