Ouf!
Not sure if it was SJ being bad, or Moncton being good...likely half and half...but that was a shit kicking.
Rumsey looked pretty happy with Khovanov and Pelletier. L'Heureux also scored on the 4th line.
Andersson keeps looking more and more comfortable. Him and Spence make an elite pair for the PP and moving the puck.
Lavallee was solid.

Wonder why L’Heureux got shuffled to the 4th line? Thought he was one of our better forwards on Friday night ...

Reading Neil Hodge's write up on the game, it is apparent why Torchetti is a good coach ... they just one 9-0 and he spent most of the article talking about things they can do better. He doesn't settle for good - he wants it done right. A big reason for optimism this season, IMO, is the man behind the bench ...

I would say that the line of Hudson, Daoust & L'Heureux was the 3rd line, not the 4th line. Initially I thought it looked strange to have Rumsey on the top line instead of L'Heureux but as the game went on I thought Rumsey looked more and more comfortable.

They said they were putting him on the 3rd line to try and get some offense from that line. It seemed to work great, he scored and Rumsey was a great fit with 11 and 31.

He benched him in VD after two dumb penalties, the kid pouted for a few games but looks back yesterday. he needs to play hard but star away from dumb things after the whistle.

It was the 3rd line actually ... the 4th line was Parent-King-Stewart ... 3rd line was Hudson-l'Heureux-Daoust.

I also felt Daoust had a strong game on line 3 ... he is snake-bit but getting lots of chances.

I think pretty much anyone would look good with Pelletier and Khovanov ... ideally it is a guy who can retrieve pucks along the boards and provide a net front presence, and not need/want the puck on his stick long.

Did Rumsey contribute on that line or was he more of a passenger? If they’re able to get a guy like him to contribute then that’s a win, even if it’s just to be a bigger body out there.

His goal was a very nice wrist shot & one of his assists was definitely due to a nice pass. He contributed for sure..hopefully it's more than a one off.

I thought he had a strong game and showed decent skill, hopefully it's something he can do regularly.
