The Sea Dogs and Charlottetown Islanders face off this weekend in a Home and Home series for Rivalry weekend around the Q.
It will be a tough weekend for the Dogs as the Islanders are the first place team in the Maritime Division and 2nd overall in the league.
A couple of points this weekend will be great for the Sea Dogs morale after a tough run of losses. (yes - a 2-1 SO win last night in Bathurst will help - but it was Bathurst)
Patenaude for the start of the road?
Go Sea Dogs Go!!!

this rivalry weekend is kinda silly
i feel no rivalry with Saint John.... there was two-three years ago when we both had top teams but trying to force rivalries like this serves no purpose IMO
as for it being a tough weekend i wouldn't be so sure.... we can't score goals.... and we have finally been visited with the injury bug..... we're coming off an uninspied win in a shootout versus Bathurst (sound familiar??) and back to back losses versus Halifax and Cape Breton
starting our 16 year old goalie who has been solid but hey he's 16.... we know there will be off nights..... and likely having to dress all our available players (instead of the rotation Hulton has been using to ease the rookies into the league)... i would be suprised if you guys don't get a victory this weekend....

Funny thing is that Mon/Bat and CB/Hal basically forces you into this "rivalry" but not because of any past of your own but because of geographic rivals of others. Not sure how gimmicks like this work to improve the fan experience or sell more tickets. But they sure do love to push the idea of it onto people.

The funny thing is that in order to play these silly rivalry games, the Islanders have to drive right past the one place that, to me, is\was and always will be, our biggest rival, one that's been tempered from the Rocket days when they put the Rocket out in the 2nd round in year one in Charlottetown.

Dogs come back for being down 6-2 and send it to overtime.

Dogs lose in OT. What is it with Gursoy playing against the Dogs.
6 points in the win for him.
Now for tomorrow night.

Nice comeback to get the point. It would have been nice if the boys could have got the two though.
What is it with the guys we have traded away padding their stats when we play against them.

So the Sea Dogs are down 4-2 in the second game in the third.
Dogs score off the Islander D and they waive it off as a kicked in motion. Anyone have a video of this ?
