Tell me who Moncton has left? The 1st and 2nd's are gone. Desnoyer, Pelletier and Spence are gone. Your D prospect is gone. You don't want to trade ZLH. What do u have of value that another team will want. You think my statement is that crazy? Some stuff comes back for those players. You can use place holders now for a pick you'd get back for a Pelletier or Desnoyers and just move it in 6 months when you make the other move. Definitely ! For examples, there is no way that Chicoutimi is paying all that for Mercer. No doubt some picks being returned for players at the draft.

I assume that the league office probably opens around 8:30 ET so we should start to see things happening very soon. Some trades posted now (Mercer) so we should see the Cats trade(s) soon π that is a huge package of quality draft picks coming back in the Mercer deal...... i wonder if there are futures tied to that one.... with 3 1sts in 3 seperate drafts I gotta think so

Agree to disagree on Hinam to Alexandrov being a Minmal difference. Iβm not even to go any further than that itβs a waste of time. must have missed Tyler Hinam in the world juniors.... what year did he compete? agreed.... Alexandrov might be the most underrated superstar in our league....... he's a game changer..... anyhow i actually don't think he's going to be moved..... but still holding out hope for a big cash in for Hulton He is a 1st line player, calling him a superstar is a huge reach IMO. A superstar is Dobson, Lafreniere etc

Some teams want the picks. Some want other assets. Some want both. People just constantly speculate that everything has to have more to it when it doesn't always have to be that way. That's how so many just plain false rumors start. Bergeron in Rouyn has been traded 2-3 times since the draft and been promised at least 1 team if you follow this all close enough. He's still there.

I'd put Alexandrov on a whole other level then most domestic point per game overagers. The guy just played amazingly well against the best U20's on the planet. That alone earns him that praise.

I see your point but I don't think Chicoutimi wanted Mercer bad enough to pay all that without some futures attached. If this is it, it's an overpayment IMO. Mercer is a good player and I like him but he is not worth all that.

Mercer is a good player and I like him but he is not worth all that. Yes he is. He's worth 2 1sts+2nd or 1 1st+2 2nds in 12 months time. The net price is a 1st+2 2nds or 2 1sts+2nd. That's a normal price. Of all the picks they used only 2 were their original picks. They've just traded very well and have assets to load up by moving them all if they wish. Can there be futures? Sure. Is there automatically definitely have to be futures based on who is involved? Not necessarily. Just wait for the details to come out.

Yeah thats the most important thing to consider when factoring the value. It still seems a bit high when considering the 2020 bathurst 2nd will be a top 20 selection as well
