Congrats to Noah Patenaude on his first win tonight in Bathurst 4-3.
Good game for Guay and Cajkovic with 3 points each.
Back at tomorrow at TD Station.

It's great to see Noah Patenaude get his first QMJHL victory.
Since Coach Dixon has pretty much thrown the players names in a blender to juggle the lines, I'd like to see him roll 4 balanced lines. I'd suggest; Guay - Roy - Cajkovic Stairs - Lawrence - Badalamenti Gould - NDP - Belisle / Vander Voet Burns - Drover - White.

Over the last 9 games he has used 24 players (not including goalies) and only 12 of them have played all nine games. Time for some stability in the line up, I would say.

Drover, Badalementi, and Cajkovic have been injured during that time (maybe someone else too that I'm forgetting). Apparently some guys were sick on the Quebec road trip as well. Roy was at the U-17s. Other than that, he's just been rotating 4th liners and bottom pair guys in an out of the last few spots, which really wouldn't be that unusual over the course of 9 games, especially since those 9 games involved 3 games in 3 nights, and 5 games in 7 nights. I'm really not seeing an issue here at all as to who has been in and out of the lineup. The issue I am seeing is the constant line juggling. I suppose some of that is to be expected when guys are out of the lineup and return but it seems to go beyond that.

I think he should put Roy or Lawrence up with Cajkovic and Guay. Maybe it will give them some confidence and help them get some points. I was hoping for more from both of them.
Also Drover needs to be moved up in the lineup to see if they can get him going. Dixon is really hurting his development.

IMO, ice-time is earned and Drover hasn't done much in my viewings to warrant moving up. It seems like Stairs, Roy, and the FA's have come in and outperformed him in pre-season for bigger roles. With that said, a change of scenery may be in order. Feel bad for a guy to be traded twice in a years time but it may help him in the long run.

I agree that ice time should be earned but sometimes you need to put your guys in a position to be more successful and give them a chance before giving up on them and moving them. Drover was productive in Cape Breton as a 16 year old before he was traded.

Right off the bat you have 18 guys that would be your first choice to be in the lineup. With some of those guys out injured then a few others draw in. Plus, you probably carry 3 extra skaters that would draw in and bump the other 4th liners and/or 5-6 Dmen out. With a few injuries it doesn't take long to get to 24. Moncton has Spence, Rumsey and Dow out injured now ... so Wilson and Pavan were called up to fill in on D, plus we have Langlois and Parent who are in and out of the lineup ... plus a suspension for Khovanov which draws an extra in. 24 seems about normal over a 10 game stretch with injuries in play.
