Congrats to Pelletier who has worked hard to get his invite, he is playing great hockey and makes the players around him better, he can play on the top line or kill penalties. He is finally getting some attention as everyone is always talking about lafreniere.
Congrats to Rodrigue, good luck he is pretty consistent and has a great glove, will be in tough against Daws and Hofer.

I think they'll both make the team ... Rodrigue will be #1 ... Pelletier will start out in a 4th line / PK role role and earn more icetime. Next year he'll have a bigger role.
But if they don't make it I'll be happy to have them back.

Pelletier will miss Canada’s selection camp due to injury. That is a heartbreaker ... kid must be devastated. Team Canada would be something he grew up dreaming of. He should get a chance next year, hopefully the injury is not too serious and he can still have a big second half.

I said it on twitter - It sucks, but it's not the end of the world. Pelletier should be a sho-in for the team next year. If he were 19 it would suck a lot more.

Unless he is playing pro. ....... Pelletier won't make the Flames at 19 He could or at least make their AHL affiliate. There is talk of allowing 1st rounders to play AHL at 19, supposed to be decided in Feb or March.

This would be a pretty awful rule change for junior hockey. I get that it is often better for the player (Ex: Veleno/Dobson) but the 19 YO studs sell tickets and help create a better league for the 16 and 17 year old prospects.

Olofsson out of the WJHC....upper body injury. Does Andersson get called ? Raymond may also be out due to injury. They don’t play the same position so I don’t think it’s going to matter unless they decided to go with 8 D instead of 7.
