To all Wildcats fans and/or Team Canada fans: Here is what I learned: Don't be surprised to see Olivier Rodrigue in net for Canada vs Germany on Monday. Great news !! Daws would like to play this game because of sentimentality but that will not be a factor. Fake news! |

I can tell you from a reliable contact onsite that the coaching staff wanted to give Rodrigue the start. Mark Hunter obviously overruled them for whatever reason. I am disappointed to see Hofer get the start with Daws (and not even Rodrigue ?) as the backup. Bad decision IMHO from a guy who is probably afraid to see he was wrong. |

kind of nutty that they had one goalie with International hockey experience out of the three and he has yet to dress for a game.

They picked a great team in hindsight. Some fringe guys ended up being major contributors. Hunter also did an amazing job coaching. Not often no one gripes about anything on social media. They managed the goalies well. played good systems, good pp and pk. The lines were juggled well. Played the top line heavy but still found a way to get the best out of there depth guys when called upon. Great job all around. |
