The Dogs are in Halifax for an afternoon tilt against the Mooseheads.
The Dogs trailed 2-0 after 1 however Durocher I think likes it with the Sea Dogs as he scored 2 in the first 25 seconds to start the second and the Dogs now have a 3-2 lead.
Go Dogs!!

Yes the 2nd period seems to be going better than the 1st. Durocher seems to be fitting in very well and hardly seems like much of a downgrade so far. Deakin-Poot back in the lineup today. Still no captain.

Savoie gets his first Q goal! Q site says the goal went to Stairs? Yes I was just going to edit my comment. John Moore says it ended up going to Stairs but he expects it to be changed to Savoie. Didn't see it myself so I have no idea.

2010-11: 119 points - President’s Cup, Memorial Cup 2011-12: 103 points - President's Cup
2012-13: 47 points 2013-14: 43 points 2014-15: 74 points 2015-16: 90 points 2016-17: 102 points - President’s Cup
2017-18: 39 points 2018-19: 32 points 2019-20: 39 points in 38 games
I’d say we’re right on track for some fun times over the next 2.5 seasons. The not-too-distant future looks bright!

Duroches has fit in nicely so far. It will nice if his production continues.

For some reason, he never got comfortable in Riki. If we get the Durocher Riki thought they were acquiring, we will do very well on the Guay/Durocher part of the swap

I just assumed we were downgrading since Rimouski is loading up. If he was underacheiving for whatever reason in Rimouski and Guay continues to plays as well for them as he did for us, then this would still prove to be a good trade for them, as well as a good trade for us if Durocher keeps playing the way he has for us so far.

What ever the reason, a change of scenery can do wonders for players sometimes.

I guess nobody that saw the highlights wants to talk about the elephant in the room so I suppose I'll be THAT guy that brings it up. Durocher unnecessarily took a sure goal away from Gould in order to complete the hat trick. Pretty forgivable since it still went in but might have been a different story if he accidentally deflected it wide. No, I'm not saying he should be run out of town and that I'm not happy with his play so far just thought it was worth a mention. He probably just acted out of instinct. Judging by Gould's reaction, I doubt he's losing any sleep over it.

I didn’t see the replay but it’s probably like you said, an instinctive action. He’s played very well for us so far. Big pair of home games coming up against the Islanders. Hoping for some good hockey and some good crowds.
