The Moncton Wildcats host the Sea Dogs tonight in the first game of a home and home series with the second game on Friday night in Saint John.
The Sea Dogs are 3-3-0-0 against the Wildcats this season however the Wildcats were winners of the last two (2) after the stocking up after the trade deadline.
Hopefully two entertaining games await us this weekend.
Go Sea Dogs Go!!

Gerry Green and his wooooooo l could have jumped through the tv screen He's a Moncton fan. He's decent as a commentator but he's always going to be rooting for Moncton. The only person not like that for Rogers is Aaron Kennedy.

The only person not like that for Rogers is Aaron Kennedy. Absolutely not ... Aaron Kennedy is a huge homer as well. You just don't hear it because he cheers for your team. I get the hate for Gerry Greene ... and Peter Assaff is actually the closest thing Rogers has to not being a homer, but he still is.

As soon as next season, the scores will be the same but your team will be on the good side.

We had him for one or two sj games and I actually liked listening to him. Just not against Moncton. Kennedy is a little different because he has literally no affiliation to the team. I agree his pbp is s little slanted, but he doesn't celebrate every goal for us and bemoan every goal against at least.

I agree his pbp is s little slanted, but he doesn't celebrate every goal for us and bemoan every goal against at least. Greene is the biggest homer ... no doubt. But to say Kennedy isn't a homer is just wrong. While he doesn't work for the team, he has been calling Seadogs games for several years now, and you simply can't avoid a bias with that. Greene does not work for the Wildcats either, and is not even from Moncton, but did the road pbp for at least one season way back. Kennedy likes to bemoan penalty calls or the lack of penalty calls against the Seadogs. I expect to listen to a homer when I listen to another team's broadcast. They simply get attached to the team and they have far more to say about them. When you think about it, Rogers should use Greene in SJ, and Kennedy in Moncton. The fans tuning in last night were mostly SJ fans but they were very likely turned off to the game by Greene's homerism.

I don't see many games on Rogers but often see the highlights. The guy who goes "Whoooo!" after goals are scored (I'm assuming that's Greene) doesn't just do it when Moncton scores. I definitley heard him do it when SJ scores before and I'm pretty sure he's done it for Bathurst too. Not sure about teams that visit NB from out of province.
Like I said, I tend to only see Rogers' highlights, so he may or may not be a Moncton homer throughout the game in other ways. He might even do it more when Moncton scores. Of course when Moncton scores 10 and the opponent scores 2, there's a pretty good chance you'll hear him do it more often for Moncton goals. But he definitely doesn't do the "whoooo!" exclusively for Moncton.

Not a bad game against one of the top teams in the league. Outstanding game again by Bouthillier. If it wasn't for him...
The boys have definitely upped their game since getting rid of Dixon, but yesterday showed again that they desperately need a specialized and good D coach. I really hope they are seriously looking around cause our D needs some proper coaching.
