Hoping some Titan fans can give us some insight after the game tonight. Sea Dogs will be missing 4 key players in Didomenico, Grant, Stich, and Gallant. Sea Dogs are having an excellent preseason thus far with 3 wins and a shootout loss in 4 games.

both is always best. that way you can unload on anything that happens that you don't like and yet still tell us how our non-Mike Thomas players are doing

Gonna post here before the game even ends and the Titan fans get home. Could someone explain what happened involving Pisano and Desnoyers? The fight and what Pisano did to get the extra 5 minutes and the game misconduct? Be as "homer" about it as you want so long as the jist of what really happened is in there, please.

Desnoyers had a good open ice hit on one of the Seadogs and Pisano took exception to it and tried to fight Desnoyers but he really didn't want to fight so he got an extra five for being the instigator plus ten for an untied sweater/jersey.

I really wasn't paying TOO much attention to the Sea Dogs tonight...but two players that played really well were Despres and Mayer (at times). Despres is a very good skater and playmaker and I can see why you guys took him fist overall. Mayer will be a good goalie, but I think he still needs to adjust to the North American game. he let in a couple softies but he also made some great saves. The score could've been a lot worse if not for him. I know you guys were missing your four best players, but I was still expecting a bit more out of your team...espacially since the Titan roster was watered down a bit too.
As for the Titan...
Mailloux-Lambke-Svoboda
Lambke surprisingly didn't look out of place with Svoboda on this line. He actually helped set up Svoboda for a couple of nice chances. They're both small and shifty which was great to watch. I think this was Svoboda's coming out as a Titan. He seems more comfortable out there now and you can tell he's going to have a great season. Should be fun to watch him and Perreault work some magic this year. They may not be Beauregard-Perreault...but still very skilled. My problem lies with the 3rd guy. I can't see anyone fitting in with those two...especially not Mailloux. He's big and might create some room...but as someone mentioned before...he's too slow to keep up with those types of players.
Masse-Faille-Jezegou
I thought was by far the best line on the ice tonight. But anyone could've seen that and the stats speak for themselves. I hope Francoeur keeps them together...at least to start the season...because they showed some great chemistry.
Joly-Clendenning-Grenache
also really good tonight...they seemed to bang and crash every time they were on the ice which is what they're good at. Not to mention Grenache and Clendenning had a couple good scoring chances. That's another one I hope they keep together.
Smearer-Critchlow-Couture
This line didn't get a whole lot of ice time, but took advantage of what little time they got. They didn't score, but they got a few chances. Critchlow really is like Clendenning. Sly wasn't lying when he said that. He played well on the PK too. I like Couture as well..I'm just concerned he might not get the ice time he deserves once the other guys are back. Smearer for the most part didn't do much.
The defense was good but not great tonight. i noticed they had problems clearing guys from in front of the net. Desnoyers, Blanchard and Renaud played well. I wish Desnoyers hadn't turtled in that fight tho. I know he didn't want to go, but he at elast could've thrown a punch or two. Tannel and Chamberland didn't really stand out a whole lot. But they're not flashy anyway. Landry is just a call up until Labrie and Sigouin are back.
Legault wasn't really tested in net, but when he had to make a big save he did. The two Saint John goals were off goal mouth scambles with a lot of traffic in front of him so no fault there. It should be a good battle between him and Tardif until at elast Christmas. As several people have said...they're two good goalies, but not great right now. Let's hope one takes the reins.
Just my opinions of course!

The line of Clendenning/Masse/Jezegou was amazing for the 1 shift they played together tonight.........Clendenning was late getting off for a line change and stayed out with them......they had SJ pinned in their zone for the entire shift........Jezegou looks better with them than Joly does...........after that shift it was all Titan as it seemed to energize the rest of the team......up to that point of the 3rd period it wasn't that exciting of a game to watch......Svoboda is amazing....his 2nd goal was just pure skill.....he was dangerous everytime he was on the ice.....I was also very impressed with Lambke alongside him tonight.......can't wait to see Svo out there regular with Perreault.......SVO has a very quick release that should go really well with the slick passing of Perreault.........I was very impressed with Legault tonight......he was solid.....tested a lot on the powerplays and very rarely allows a rebound.....Faille also looked good out there......
I'd try Jez/Clen/Masse on the 2nd line and try Messier on the wing with Perreault and Svoboda for a while.....that might be a good combo if Bartos doesn't show up.

Desnoyer did the right thing to turtle.....if not he would have been killed......he was chased down and jumped from behind as he was going off the ice by Pisano, 6'6" 230lbs......didn't expect it at all and didn't see it coming......anybody would have turtled.......the ref made the right call here and it cost SJ a shot at a win.

Desnoyer got a couple of good hits tonight i believe.( it might have been someone else) Legault played great and mae a couple of good saves but let in a borderline one. its wasnt really that bad but with the saves that he was making, it looked soft. He made one really good glove save. And I know im only talking about the Titans but I dont really pay attention to the other team so much. Sorry SeaDogs fans. you wouldnt wasnt my puckbunny version anyway right?...

What I noticed the most tonight was the intensive play, gritty, muscled, both in forecheck and backcheck....Francoeur's message is passing through nicely....
This is only preseason but the dangerous shots count went down to 11 tonight with a defense comprised of 4 rookies against a team which had gone unbeaten so far in preseason. The PK was good, Legault was excellent on rebound control and the puck moved well out of the zone except for a few minutes in the 2nd period.
The new coaching style should fit perfectly with the compsition of the roster.....
Right now I simply don't see how Faille will not be given a chance in an offensive role...he has got 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points in 4 games so far...pretty impressive.
