The QMJHL draft lottery goes today at 3pm our time on the Q's YouTube page. www.youtube.com/channel/UCY1kEIeX3I2vrLNtHRx3A7QTop prize is Tristan Luneau, the best D to enter the Q since we joined the league. 2nd prize is Antonin Verreault, a top end forward. After that, there doesn't appear to be a consensus. SJ has 2 balls out of 21, and Gatineau has 85.7% odds at #1, 73.5% odds at 1 and 2, and 63% odds at the entire top three. |

But with the lottery success the Dogs have had, maybe they aren’t so loveable to fans of other teams?? Lol

What’s everyone’s take on what the dogs should do with our 2 first round picks? Do we move one or both of them for an 18 or 19 year old ? If we win the lottery do take Luneau or trade that pick . On the slim chance we do win the lottery and take Luneau that would leave us with
Poirier Villeneuve
Desroches Luneau
Innis mccullum
Lehmus sibley
Spadafore
Do we bring lehmus back lots of decisions to be made but that would be one scary good dcore potentially better then our mem cup year.

Is Tristan Luneau rated that high? I know that he is expected to go first overall but I didn't realize that he is the best D to enter the Q since we joined the league. |

Imo, the earlier pick is not available at all. The second could be but only for the right fit. We will almost certainly draft a Euro, but which Euro (or both) leaves needs to be figured out. |

Is Tristan Luneau rated that high? I know that he is expected to go first overall but I didn't realize that he is the best D to enter the Q since we joined the league. I'm not a scout and have only watched streams of him playing, but that's been the impression I've been given between what I saw, what I've read, and what I've heard. He absolutely dominated midget last year, and it is not because he's more physically developed than his peers. |

If we end up getting first pick overall it is a no brainer to pick the consensual number one Luneau. With any other pick, do we still pick a D or should we concentrate more on F?

I don't intend any disrespect towards Spadafore but I can't see him being back as a 20 next season (assuming there is one). The depth at D being part of the reason. No point keeping a 20 year old D, if he's not top 4 material. There are 3 2000 born forwards I would keep over him, and even they aren't guaranteed spots. I wouldn't be surprised to see us trade for at least one 20 during a trade period once we know if there will be a season or not. I'd be hesitant to trade a 1st rounder for a player over 17 until we know there's going to be a season. |

Yes I agree with you not a chance he’s back in any scenario. Our Defence are to good can’t waste a 20 on him.He was very serviceable in a couple down years.
