Here it is. My annual Moncton Wildcats Mock Draft 3rd (BAT) - #41 – Simon Hughes – Forward – Charlottetown Midget AAA 3rd (MON) - #57 – Dylann Gill – Defense – Moncton Midget AAA 4th (MON) - #75 – Michael D’Orazio – Goalie – Shattuck St Mary’s U15 8th (MON) - #147 – Angus Booth – Defense – Laval Montreal Midget AAA 9th (MON) - #165 – Jarrett Todd – Forward – Halifax Midget AAA 10th (HFX) - #168 – Tristan Reid – Forward – Gatineau Midget AAA 10th (MON) - #183 – Matt McRae – Forward – Saint John Midget AAA 11th (MON) - #201 – Trayner McCulloch – Forward – Cole Harbour 12th (MON) - #219 – Alex Petrie – Forward – Moncton Midget AAA 13th (MON) - #237 – Hunter Gartley – Defense – Pittsburgh Pens U15 14th (MON) - #255 – Preston Pattengale – Defense – Sydney Midget AAA A few comments: - If Simon Hughes is still available at 41, it's an absolute steal. - Dylann Gill and Angus Booth will be long gone by 57th and 147th respectively. I'm hoping for a trade up to get those two. Booth is the brother of Callum Booth. - Hunter Gartley is not an American. He is from Woodstock NB.

I would not be surprised if they take a few "NCAA" kids in the mid rounds and throw some cash as Hillier. this is the right year for that given Covid. More local kids may stay home.

With the wildcats having so few picks in the rounds that typically make up most of your roster (1-5), I wouldn’t mind them taking shots at NCAA kids from round 8 on. While I understand that they still do need players, most players chosen at that point won’t be Q level players anyway.

They have picks from past years that may be able to play in the Q, plus they have been good at bringing in free agents. I wouldn't take dumb gambles but after round 3 if you can get a guy that belongs in the top 60 and might report, not a big deal. They pretty much need to hit on both 3rds. Likely forwards.
