Jordan Spence is one of 14 D invited to Team Canada WJC selection camp. Hard to imagine he’ll make the final roster as Canada seems to be insanely deep this year, but nonetheless an incredible achievement.
Jakob Pelletier also invited.

I like Hudson but Fortier and DeJong are much better players. Sure would like to see Fortier put up some offense though. Ask and you shall receive I guess. Good to see Fortier exploiting his speed.

Sam Cosentino has Spence projected on his first attempt at a projected roster. Pelletier too. Wonder if we see more Q guys than normal this year with them being the only ones currently playing ... being in game shape should be an advantage when they report to camp compared to guys coming off a lengthy lay-off.

It's still really early on, but Labelle has been a terrific add as an FA. He does a little bit of everything, I really appreciated watching him on the PK last night. He works his ass off.

It would be great if they could bring his brother in, I think he is headed to Colgate. Not sure if Sudbury still has his rights...

How do you guys like your head coach ? I was really surprised that he didn’t pull Lund-Cornish last night the cats were flat all night and your goalie didn’t look on top of his game. I thought they would have gave Sheehan a shot . It’s never a good look when your goalie allows 9

I would have given Sheehan the 3rd because I think it was 7-3 at that point. The kid needs playing time. But I have no ill will for our Coach as he has this low talent team playing better than expected. We should get lit up every once in awhile and so I don't mind. Maybe Sheehan was under the weather or dealing with a minor injury ... don't know.

If you had told me 12 games in with no Euros, several draft picks not reporting that the Cats would be 5-7 I would tell you that'd be above expectations. They've had a couple tough games recently but that's normal. Most nights at home they've put out hard working efforts and played relatively responsible defensively. The rookies are getting lots of playing time. Not much more you can ask for really. Honestly, with a season like this its hard to put to much thought into game-by-game analysis. Lucky to even being able to watch hockey at this point.
