Dogs have a tall task tonight, hosting the league-leading Titan at the Station. The game tonight comes on the heels of a rather listless effort against the Islanders. It will be a bog challenge to say the least. However, the talent is there - let’s see what happens.

A team exceeding expectations vs. a team not meeting expectations. The Titan deserve a lot of credit for the season they are putting together so far. For all the negativity in Sea Dogs land, they are responsible for the only blemish so far on the Titan's record. Each team has managed to earn 3 or 4 possible points vs. the other.

Jones likely to get the start tonight. Would be great to see him finally get his first regular season win as a Sea Dog.

If/when that happens, other teams will get their imports as well. I know a few are already here but most aren't. So the question then becomes will our imports improve our team more than most other teams'? When I look at what this teams lacks and what each of these guys is supposed to bring, I think there is a good chance the answer is yes. Mind you, I haven't broken down and analyzed every other team's roster. I'm sure there are at least some others who stand to gain more than most. Of course a team with one shootout win has a lot more room for improvement than a team whose only blemish is 1 shootout loss. So we'd have that going for us as well.

That's a really good question - Who do the euros help most? At the start of the year, you'd have thought Bathurst was the most desperately in need of their Euros because of the goaltending situation, but goaltending has been a strength for them so far this season, and their defense has been fine, so, how much to Brantz and Bednar really improve their team? For the Sea Dogs, Kotkov is a proven veteran who could really help... I don't know much about Hampl, but, for a team that needs defense, a couple of guys from the outside could really help stabilize this team. Charlottetown could use a bit of scoring depth, I don't know if Barbenec or Mensik are going to be able to provide that right away, they're both 2003s so, They might be a marginal improvement, but, it's hard to say. I think the obvious winner is Halifax. They basically gain an entire line if they can get players over the border. Moncton could benefit quite a bit by freeing up a 20 spot and adding more offense... Cape Breton also benefits quite a bit by adding some potential scoring threat to their pretty inexperienced forward core.
