That's unfortunate that it didn't work out for Jones after spending all that time in isolation. Whatever the situation is, I wish him the best.
The good news is that Patenaude has been playing pretty well so far this season. I'm not sure a 20 year old spot needs to be used on a goaltender. I guess it all depends on what is available to us and at what cost.

Creed Jones had a strong 1st period... Moncton had a few quality chances. We have to cut down on the quality chances we keep giving up.

Sounds like our 20s are keeping us in this game. Nice to see/hear.

Not sure if true or not. My reply was based on the assumption that it was true. The fact that he started tonight gives me reason to doubt that it is in fact true.

They just seem to find a way to lose. Got to make some changes. Probably not going to be able to happen this year but some of the guys need to go. We will never win a championship with that defence..

If only Deakin-Poot was a year younger. He's exactly the type of player this team could use.

I think it would solve several problems if they moved Poirier to forward. I remember when he was 16 and people said he was the next Thomas Chabot. Maybe he could have been if given the same opportunity.

It’s almost comical at this point. Almost.

As frustrating as it is, let's not forget that Moncton isn't in full rebuild yet. They have a 19 year old defenseman, and a 20 year forward who are both currently better players than anyone on the Sea Dogs. Neither of them are likely to be around in the 2nd half. They have a pretty good 20 year old goalie too. As young as they are, they have some solid veteran leaders. Kind of like how we use to frustrate teams in the 1st half 3 years ago before bottoming out in the 2nd half. Also let's not forget that most of the losses are close. Is our record worse than it should be? Yes but things could be much worse The closest thing to a blowout loss was a 5-1 loss to the best team in the division. Other than that, it's been all 1 or 2 goal losses with many going beyond regulation.

If they could tighten up defensively that would go along way to put us on the winning side of these games. I dont have alot of confidence that the d we have can or if they are committed to doing this. They just get out battled most of the time. On a side note. I was reading on the Halifax board there is a rumour of Leighton Carruthers being traded to the Moose for Gravel. I hope the god that isn't true.

I can't see it being so.

That’s wishful thinking on the Moose board, I hope they aren’t putting any stock in that one!
