The Charlottetown Islanders rescheduled games so they can have longer Christmas break so players can return home:

I think I must be missing something; but how are the players who live outside the “bubble” going to get home, spend time with family, and then come back, self-isolate for 14 days, and then be ready for Jan 7?

I think I must be missing something; but how are the players who live outside the “bubble” going to get home, spend time with family, and then come back, self-isolate for 14 days, and then be ready for Jan 7? I dont know about PEI, but in NB they've added new restrictions on workers who were previously "exempted" from the isolation period (ie: people who fly out west for 2 weeks and come back for 7 days) that they must isolate for 14 days, the exception of getting necessities. However they can shorten that isolation requirement by getting tested, and particularly shorten it if they get tested multiple times. Perhaps some of them will also either leave early for break or come back later. If they miss 3 or 4 games in December you could extend your break to a month.
