Halifax rolls into town tonight for a mid-week game.
This will be our first action without Cormier. It will be interesting to see how his absence impacts our team.
Game time is 7:00 PM.

Ced extends his streak to 13 games.
Kid is making it look to easy at times.
And congrats to Plando on his 1st! Such a talented player. Definitely does not look like a 17yr old dman out on the ice. He's got some serious skill

Not watching the game. Did Whynot get hurt when he was hit by Johnston?

Not watching the game. Did Whynot get hurt when he was hit by Johnston? I assume so. Slow getting up, trainer met him halfway but he skated off on his own.

watched a couple periods...... team looks very good..... such a shame it's in the current environment. Would be nice to see in a regular season how strong they truly are... when playing the exact same teams all year it kinda limits the ability to truly tell
however you certainly cannot take anything away from the streak Desrousseaux has compiled..... those numbers would be scary good in any era playing noon time scrimmage hockey

Cedric is off to a fantastic start.
Sometimes you see players absolutely go on a tear during their 20 y/o season and get the opportunity to sign an NHL entry level deal as a free agent. It's hard to know what will happen under the COVID circumstances. There aren't as many scouts watching and our players aren't getting showcased up in Quebec. Plus, NHL teams are being very conservative with handing out contracts during this uncertain time.
It would be great if Desruisseaux is able to continue his hot play and get an opportunity in pro hockey.

Desruisseaux is a guy who could have probably had a much better Junior career had he not been shuffled around so much.
Got drafted by his hometown team, played 10 games at 16, but gets traded at the draft, comes in and plays his real rookie season on a young Drummondville team, has an incredibly solid season for a 17 year old 24 goals and 46 points.
He was poised to be really, really solid scoring winger at 18, but then Drummondville loaded up and he was pushed down the lineup a bit... so his numbers and ice time went down.
Then he's moved to Charlottetown at 19 and, again, not a terrible season but, not the guy you'd hope you were getting given he's had a 24 goal season at 17.
The fact he was underproducing was tearing him up too it seems, he was scared he was gonna get traded again.
But this is the first time he's been on the same team for the second season in a row with an increased role as a veteran as he should, and he's finally stepping into his full potential as an excellent junior player.
I think this is a player who just really needed an opportunity to get comfortable and feel like he's a leader on a team, and he finally has that. Really happy for him, because I've always thought he's had it in him to be a 40 goal guy. (Tho, the pace he's on he could score 70 in a normal season lol)
