Well now the schedule is going to be a mess, now that everyone but Cha has been cleared to play. (Hope they let the NB teams in soon I don't want to just play CB for a month or 2 weeks) I guess the NB teams and NS/PEI team can have work isolate rules, I don't think the Atlantic bubble is far from re-opening with Spring on the way, going to be weird playing hockey in June! I think you can look to last year in terms of when the bubble will open again and that would be into July. With random outbreaks and variants out there while vaccines ramp up it makes no sense to open the bubble until things are very stable everywhere. I can't see that happening quickly. We didnt have vaccines though and were still learning lots about the disease at that time. NB should have all the LTC homes vaccinated by end of March where the majority of our outbreaks have been problematic. If I were to take a guess at it I'd say Mid April for the Atlantic Bubble assuming that cases remain relatively under control until of course. Leaves room for any post easter spikes in case they'd need to revert. I could be wrong of course.

I see the vaccine being the reason for the delay...get as many 1st doses in as possible. We just said end of June for all residents in NS to get dose 1 potentially. Lines up perfectly for a bubble to open for the July 1 long weekend.

That may not happen but thats the last thing I heard as the earliest date for the Atlantic Bubble to reopen.

Why are they bothering to even play, we're paying $20 (roughly, season tickets, I can't remember how much they are) to watch what is essentially exhibition games, after being off for several months the hockey is not going to be great for awhile. What is the point outside of not having to refund season tickets.

Everybody knew the season wouldn’t go the whole way without interruptions...if you don’t wanna watch it, blame yourself for spending the money

i'll say we have an Atlantic Bubble in place by Victoria Day weekend Suggestions are that everybody that wants to be vaccinated will have a first dose by the end of June. If we can get 70% vaccinated (1st dose) by sometime in May then that should be doable. But our bubble may re-open before we get 70% vaccinated if we can all keep our numbers in check.

I don't see much, if any, reason that we couldn't have an Atlantic or Maritime bubble right now. Cases in all provinces are very low - there is little if any community spread in any of them. We get flare-ups from time to time, relating to travel, and the effected zones get rolled back into more restrictive measures until the cases numbers get beat back. All four provinces are following a similar process. There is no real good reason that someone in a "yellow" zone in one province couldn't travel to "yellow" zones in other provinces - maybe even "orange". If a zone is "red" or "lockdown", then clearly you don't travel to or from it - but that would be regardless of whether it is your own province or the one next door.

here are the things I'm looking forward to seeing in March: -see Filion in nets, he is regarded as one of the top in Canada of his age group -see the new players and what they can bring for this year and next(Hamel Barbashev McKinney) -see physical growth and adaptation in the skilled rookies, Loshing Cloutier Pilotte and Iasenza
Bathurst should be a tough matchup they were already top 5 and added Bednar and Bellamy defensively plus Melanson as a young winger with an edge.
SJ had talent all along but could not make it work, Jones, Drover, Stairs and Roy are gone and Emond Kotkov and Francis are in. They are very talented but seemed to lack structure and grit.

Hopefully they give Fillion one of the 2 games this week.
We already know what DLC brings and he's pretty much all you'd want in a 20 year old goalie on a rebuilding team. Fillion should get as many games as possible. Of course there's a human element to this and at this point everyone should be getting in their fair share of icetime after having to wait it out for the length of an offseason between games.
Barbashev seems like a total wildcard, based on the Q site it seems he's had a growth spurt over the past year or so. Hopefully he can provide some offense as a top 2 line guy so the 2nd euro pick isn't needed next year.

Agree on Barbashev, unless he falls flat on his face, I think they will keep him next year and see how he develops and use their 2021 Euro pick on a player and pass on the 2nd. How much he and other young players grow may facilitate moving veterans for picks at the draft/off season.

We typically give Euros 10 games before we start judging them, and some of them don't really show their value until a half season has gone by. He may not get to show his value with what is left of this season.
