Pretty quiet around here these days! The dogs look to get back on the right track against the pesky team from Bathurst. They were embarrassed 8-2 at home the last time the Dogs hosted the Titan, and then lost 4-2 in Bathurst on April 1st. Time for the Seadogs to give this team the treatment they gave the Wildcats on Friday.

It is timee for McCain to clean house and clear out the baggage. Start this thing over. 3 or 4 years into a rebuild and we are still brutal.
If it wasn't for Moncton icing a Jr A team with all the injuries they have been dealing with and Bathurst getting mediocre goaltending in the few games that we beat them. I'm not sure how many wins these guys would have.
We have alot of nice pieces but there is something wrong with this group.
Is it the wrong guys leading the team or just no leadership at all.
This is coach number three.
Players wanting out.
Getting to the point where it is painful to watch.

In my opinion, coaching remains this team's biggest problem. Bathurst found a way to adjust after losing the first 3 in the 2nd half. Can the Sea Dogs now do the same? I won't hold my breath. If not, it will likely be a short trip to the playoffs.

Definitely lots of work to do if this team has a chance to contend next year. Many holes to fill, we will have maybe 3 solid D and 4 F next year. Not looking great if we want to push fr a title.
On another note, Burns got robbed by not getting the player of the week award!

The defence needs a major make over or they need to hire a coach that can teach them. This team is going no where with the way they play in our end. We drafted Poirier and Villeneuve in the same draft on D and called them “The cornerstones of our rebuild.” Then we didn’t hire anyone to coach and mentor them. We pulled the equivalent of a baseball team hiring a retired outfielder as their pitching coach. The problems snowballed from there. I have no problems with Trevor Georgie, but it seems it’s time for a change. For next season I would bring in a new GM. I would keep Gilbert as head coach and let him make any changes he sees fit amongst his assistants and give him the chance to prove he is the right guy for the job. If he can’t...well it would be the 2022-23 season and rebuild time anyway, so let the new Gm hand pick his head coach at that time. |

Going back 8 days ago to the Titan blowout of SJ in SJ,,Poirier had an atrocious week in his own end. |

The common denominator the past 3 years are the defencemen who’ve received plenty of top coaching, instruction and individual work up to the Hockey Canada level. |

I think it's defensive play, not specifically the defensive core. The whole group looks like a chicken with it's head cut off in their own end. Either they have no clue or they have no system. |
