Well this is great news. I wasn't overly optimistic about the out come but this is awesome.
Now hopefully we can get through this pandemic and have a tournament without to many restrictions in place.

Congrats guys. Way too long of a wait, and much deserved. Good luck in your season and playoff run.

It's a good thing the Remparts are undefeated in Memorial Cup finals held in New Brunswick. Congrats to Saint John, long overdue.

I'm sure both teams had excellent bids but a detail like that is important. At 7500 people Centre Videotron looks empty and it's not good for a national event like the Mem Cup. Now they can be sure the arena will be full in Saint John.

I fully expect Quebec to win. The league didn't even bother with announcing a nonpartisan selection committee this time. Edit: Quebec ticks every box on a bid and offers more potential $. The only thing that SJ might have going on a bid is that our ownership didn't embarrass the league. Imagine if Quebecor was the Sea Dogs owner and a member of the committee was the VP of a Bell owned company. What was so partisan about the committee? They looked like great choices.

I agree, it was fairly nonpartisan. I expected them not to reveal the committee. TSN's VP being included because they have the TV rights. And while Roy (and the Quebec media) like to say that isn't fair, the argument only exists in the first place because Quebecor canceled their TV deal with the Q; otherwise, it would be TSN and TVA Sports covering the games.

They didn’t say it wasn’t fair though. Of course there's disappointment but that was expected one side would be happy and the other not.

Do any Sea dog fans think there will be some ticket packages left for non sea dog ticket holders ? Yes Based on the current attendance the Sea Dogs have maybe 1500 season ticket holders? Some tickets get held for various reasons (sponsors, media, visiting teams, vips etc) but youd have to imagine theres still going to be at least 3000+ packages initially available based on those numbers. The next question will be how fast will full tournament packages sell and what will be left for individual games. Coming from Moncton I'd be more interested in a package that included just the weekend games. Possibly even just the semi's and the finals. Will be interesting to see what they do.

Does anyone know any season ticket holders not getting a Memorial Cup package? Let me know. I'd buy 2 of them.
