Finally - another season is about to start for the Memorial Cup host Saint John Sea Dogs. The Charlottetown Islanders arrive in SJ for a home/home series with one of the top teams from last year and potentially two of the top teams in the Atlantic Division and the Q overall.
The Sea Dogs will be missing Ryan Francis who is still at Calgary's training camp. I am not sure about the Islanders lineup.
Looking forward to another interesting season.
Go Sea Dogs Go!!!!!

The only player for the Islanders who is still at an NHL camp is Ben Boyd in Columbus....should have a pretty normal roster.

I found the quality was good for the most part in period one. Then at intermission it looked like the camera controller was playing around, and period two has been terrible.

What an embarrassment for the mem cup hosts…Somebody hook their iPhone up, it would surely be a better stream than this.

Thought Poirier was your best d man all weekend. Never really noticed any of the other big name guys. In is is a guy that came in highly touted but honestly has been a disappointment for me anyways since he’s been a seadog. Lemieux made some good saves maybe once Francis gets back the team will take off but for both games this weekend seemed to be a lot of the same for your team. As a Islander fan I really believe that Dwyer isn’t the right guy for a memorial cup driven team he will likely prove me wrong just never been a fan of his coaching even when he was here.

Francis returning will definitely help the offense. I didn't watch the game last night but Friday night I thought some of the guys gave up good scoring chances trying to setup Dufour for the big shot. The two games goes to show that right now the Islanders are a better team than the Sea Dogs. They will need to make more changes to fix that. As far as Innis goes, he hasn't been bad but I was hoping for more. He is definitely physical but I don't think he has been good enough to be a 20 on a Memorial cup team. Still seeing alot of the same problems as past years, not ready to start games and getting down early in the game. I was hoping that four years into a rebuild that we would be able to come out on top in these big rivalry games. Definitely could have brought in a bigger name coach but I really can't comment on Dwyers coaching abilities yet. I think bringing in Paul Boutilier will be a big help.
