One of our biggest rivals, the Boisbrand-Blainville Armada, head into town today for a Sunday afternoon contest. These two teams have had some epic battles in recent history in the league semi-finals where Blainville always seemed to get the better of us.
The Armada come into town coming off a big win in Sydney on Friday night and then an OT loss last night in Halifax. Hopefully we can catch them a little fatigued at the end of a tough road trip.
Game time is 3:00 PM.

In fairness. Since I called out some Bathurst fans for hoping their opponents would come in fatigued this weekend. Setting the bar low and hoping the opponent fall beneath it rather than their team reaching for it.
Charlottetown is a top team in this league. The Islanders have to win these games (at home!). It shouldn't be dependent on how fatigued the other teams are. It shouldn't depend on the refs or anything else. It's on the Islanders.
What a $#it weekend this is for the Islanders if they don't get a win today. Quebec came in and won handily after playing night before had every excuse to not win. Blainville they should match up favorably with. I expect a strong bounce back from this Isles team.

I always get nervous with the armada, even though there is a only a select few on this years roster that would have dealt with them in the playoffs. they just seem to always have our number when it counts and today definitely counts for the islanders.

Halifax would dump the puck.. one Armada defender would box out the guy dumping the puck just enough without being called for interference, while the other defender got the puck. Worked pretty well, and was frustrating to watch. The Islanders have faster, more experienced forwards. They should be able to beat what Blainville throw at them.

Nice to see Guay pick up the hatty. He now sits 2nd overall in goals scored. 1 behind the league leader.
He will be a top 20yr old in the league next season...
5-2 Isles win.
Guay 3 Budgell Cormier
4pts for Cormier 3pts Simoneau
Simoneau now is the league scoring leader with 38pts in 19GP.

Man, Simoneau could have another 10 goals if he shot the puck. Luckily he nearly always gets the pass back through to Guay, but he usually has an open net if he would one-time the puck. Makes the goalie look pretty silly though
