The Sea Dogs start a 4 game week by hosting the Mooseheads on a Tuesday night game (Nov 30). Think Patendeau gets the start with Lemieux leaving the game on Saturday hurt. If he is hurt - who are the potential backups for tonight and for this weekend in QC?
This weekend the Dogs are back in QC for their third straight road trip versus Quebec based teams. A 3 in 3 Games against the Armada, Phoenix and Tigres will be a big test against these teams. Game on Saturday against Joshua Roy should be good one to watch.
A 3 win week would be great - 4 is better.
Go Sea Dogs Go!!!

Umm....that guy we traded for with the Russian name but doesn't count as an import? Shingarov? Just complete guesswork on my part.

If one is still needed for the Quebec trip, I would likely say Shingarov or they may want to give Olivier Brideau a shot.

From the TJ Regarding Lemieux's injury. Injury.docx (135.84 KB) The latest festivities overshadowed a potential major injury to No 1 Goaltender Jonathan Lemieux, who left midway through the second period with what the team is calling an upper body injury. Gordie Dwyer did not give a time frame for Lemieux's absence, nor specifics on the extent of the injury, pending further evaluation this week.

Dogs win 4-3 in OT. Same 3 guys on the ice needed 18 seconds this time to give the Sea Dogs the 2 points.
Now for the 3 in 3 this weekend. Keep it up Dogs!!

In Todays TJ it says that Lemieux will be travelling with the team to QC this weekend and they expect him to be available to play. That is a little sigh of relief.

I was just about to post that we're screwed for a while with Lemieux out, Patenaude likely to get a chance at being on the Swiss team for World Juniors, and Dufour getting a shot at team Canada. We already were terrible defensively. Add in no Lemieux and Patenaude and our goaltending would blow also, while no Dufour would mean our offense also gets to struggle even more because we're pretty much a one line team as it is. Hopefully Lemieux is fine and can steal us a few games.

Expect Yan Kuznetsov to join the team this week for the 3 in 3.

Expect Yan Kuznetsov to join the team this week for the 3 in 3. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but if true would be a big addition on the backend.

The Sea Dogs started the Quebec portion of the week with a 6-3 win over the Armada.
Josh Lawrence had a pair of goals while William Dufour, Olivier Picard, Brady Burns and Peter Reynolds added singles. Patendeau with the win. Game ended early with a broken glass pane the staff couldn't fix.
Now off to face Sherbrooke and Joshua Roy tonight.I
Go Dogs Go!!!

That was a strange situation for not having a spare piece of glass and to call the game with 37 seconds left. I wonder what they would have done if the score was 4 - 3 and not 6 - 3 or more time on the clock.

Kuznetsov still not in the lineup again tonight for some reason. We could really use him against Sherbrooke.
